By far the worst nail salon I have ever patronized.. The eyebrow waxing was fairly good. The american manicure was atrocious.
The polish (also American but heavily chipped) that was on before was not completely removed and you could see the lines of it underneath the new manicure. Other than that, it looks very much to be clear polish instead of a neat American manicure. It really seems like they decided they were done half way through the manicure and sent me on my way... right after I paid and tipped! The prices were higher than I am used to in the Alpharetta, GA metro area but I could not care less what it costs if the product delivers and it most assuredly did not. Unfortunately, with frequent walking off and whatever I had already spent longer than I had time for - 2.5 hours is longer than I have ever spent on a manicure/pedicure/eyebrow wax with no wait ahead of time.
Although I come to Smyrna a lot to visit those I know there, I was just coming through town this time and had no more time to spare. I complained to the manager who offered to redo it immediately, but this late in, I simply did not have time and nothing else was offered. I believe he hung up the phone because he was gone after I said that, and said I'd be coming back down the next day.
Yesterday, I had to go pay to have it redone at a local salon - spending more time and money - and the women laughed over how it looked and had all the women over to see, and tell me I should not have gone there.
This wasn't simply a case of the manicure not being up to par for the price paid; rather the manicure was not worth any cost. I can always forgive a bad experience with good customer service afterwards, but unfortunately I did not recieve that, either. At this point, I am back home in Georgia and nothing short of a refund would be appropriate.
I am asking my friends and family in Smyrna to spread the word about this salon, so others will take their business elsewhere and not feel as duped as I do!
