We stayed as a group in three rooms. The consensus was between good and very good, and I am giving them the benefit of the doubt here. As another reviewer mentioned, we did not get exactly the rooms we requested, but the staff accommodated us so we were satisfied. One person had an issue about the cleanliness of the bathroom, but apparently resolved it herself within one minute, and didn't bother the staff with it. This is an older motel, and therefore I am comparing it to other older motels I've visited, and this is better than most. It was a non smoking room, and I didn't smell smoke. Some of us had a full kitchen, so we congregated there and shared some meals. None of us found the coffee; if it was there, we didn't see it. (We did see the coffee pot.) This didn't bother us much. There was fast wifi. We loved a restaurant just across the road, and most of us ate there at least one meal a day. The location is excellent on what is essentially the Main Street; close to a circle which is a good landmark. We had no trouble flushing the toilets, (like another reviewer here did) because we are used to older plumbing! It takes an extra few seconds with the handle depressed. Of course, if you want to spend more and go to a chain hotel, where everything has been updated, you are allowed. Our group was very happy with this motel, and we used the saved money to visit Fort Ticonderoga and have some good meals out. We recommend this motel and would go back.
