The whole experience from the day we decided to have Miles Bradley give us a quote for replacing our deck surface with Trex material, and adding an addition to the deck, was excellent. From the start, having MB build our deck was a mistake. During the sales phase, we were encouraged to build early because prices go up substantially when the weather improves. It rained hard the day before the project began...the ground was so soft that damage was inevitable. I was promised that no heavy equipment would be on our property. As quoted, "other companies use heavy duty equipment but, we do everything by hand and wheel barrows". That was not true. I felt like I had to fight all day everyday to protect my property and have as little damage as possible in the end. It took two hours of arguing with the builder not to put a piece of filler in the first board just outside my door. He told me to "decorate around it" rather than compromise with me to make it right. I was assured by the sales person that this was his best crew and were very flexible in dealing with customers. Really? And, I understood "grading" the area meant that exactly. One side of the deck hits the ground and the other side misses it by several inches. Where's the grading? Now we ended up with a rail going one way, another going a different way and steps leading into a landscape bed that we will have to remove thousands of dollars of plant material to accommodate the steps. I wish I never started this project. I'm at the point where I want it torn out. And, we paid them in full so we have no leverage. The "final clean-up" meant that they just sweep the dust off the deck. We have cleaned it twice ourselves and are still picking up pieces of decking material around and under the deck. I would strongly recommend that you do not hire this company. more

Miles Bradley Building built a deck from my home to my in-ground pool. It is a custom multilevel deck with stairs from my residence to the in-ground pool. It is fully customized to fit my needs. They designed it to our specifics at our home, and gave us many different options. The colors of the concrete were matched perfectly, and it looks good. Miles, the owner, was great, and so was his carpenter. Everything we needed was there. more

Everything, from start to finish, was very professional. I didn't feel pressured. Brian, who was the rep from Miles Bradley Building, worked with my wife and I and was forthcoming. He didn't keep anything from us, and he went out of his way to make sure we were pleased. And the builder, he was a one man army. When I came home the first day, I was like, "Where is everyone?" And my wife said, "There's only one guy." I said, "Really?!" The same guy did the demolition, the building, and the whole thing himself. Not once did I have any complaints about his work. more

Miles and Brock of Miles Bradley Building were very professional. They were very patient and low pressure, they worked closely with us and waited for us to make our decision. Miles followed up with us, I liked the way he dealt with us. He recognized we were not rushing to get the work done and stayed with us the whole time, he had just the right touch for a sales person. When we started out I didn't know about the size we wanted, when he drew up the plans we wanted to cut the price a bit and he modified it to our needs. The price was a little high but when we compare it with everything else and others it was fair. The workmanship is well done and the quality of supplies and equipment was good. Brock, the builder, was outstanding. He was very meticulous, very accurate, and made sure everything was just right. He cleaned up nicely, and didn't make a big mess. We have gotten a lot of compliments on our new deck, people have stopped by and asked who built it. We saw a few decks people built after we got ours done that looked like people were trying to copy ours but they haven't looked as good. The customer service was great, we followed up with them because we were not sure about painting and cleaning the new deck and he gave us some suggestions. more

I hired Miles Bradley Building, Inc. to build a deck in my home. Andy Hodge is the designer I dealt with and he was great. I'm very happy with the results. Every day they came, they were here early, which is always a plus. I had questions along the way and the lead carpenter resolved everything on the spot. I'm also a tradesman and I know what to look for and their work is as close to perfect as it can get. I'm very happy with Andy and his crew. They did an excellent job on the entire deck. I actually had a woman and her husband come out on Saturday. They were very impressed and signed a contact with Miles Bradley Building based on the work they saw in my house. more
