Worst car repair shop of all time!\r
\r
My wife got a nail in her tire and brought it here to be plugged. I had jacked it up that morning and put on the spare tire and everything under the car at the point where you put the jack was fine (I rotate the tires so I know what it is supposed to look like). \r
\r
So they fix the tire and put it back on. She gets home and I go to take a look at the plug on the tire and to check the psi on the tire. Thats where everything went downhill.\r
\r
1. So they overfilled the tire by 10psi, which is sloppy and unsafe.\r
\r
2. I tried to take the tire off (I like to torque it on properly to make it easier to get off in the future). Not only did they not torque it on, but they tightened it so hard that I had to hit the wrench with a hammer to get the bolts off. Sloppy!\r
\r
3. I started to get the cars jack out to take the tire off to see if the messed up anything else and when I look under the car... ta dah! They totally mangeled the frame of the car at the point where you place the jack. They made it so I could not place the jack in the slot where it is safest to put it!\r
\r
4. We took the car right back to him and he was rude to my wife, did not apologize, said the damage was no big deal, and refused to pay to have it fixed (he offered to fix it, but no thanks). He did refund our money though, but we still have to take it to a shop to get the damage repaired.\r
\r
So they permanantly damaged the undercarraige of my car while changing a tire (and did a bad job with the tire as well). I normally do alot of my own work on our cars but I did not have the time to do the plug myself and figured ""what can go wrong?"".\r
\r
If you are looking for an auto repair shop in morristown, go somewhere else. These guys are the worst.\r
\r
P.S. They also do not have an answering machine and have crappy hours.\r
\r
P.P.S. There is an easy way to use a simple car lift without damaging your frame, put a hockey puck on the lifting disc! Or just place the lift carefully and it won't bend the rail!
