I love this place just wish we could afford to go more than once a month.

Worst

I've had the cheapest sushi ($1 for two pieces) to the most expensive ($90 for two pieces), and I can say with conviction that Mikuni's sushi is ordinary. It takes at least 10 y...

I love Mikuni!! 8/9/2003

Mikuni was the first place I had sushi over ten years ago. I immediately fell in love and have been a sushi connoisseur ever since. I lived in the bay area for several years and never found a sushi restaurant that I loved nearly as much as Mikuni. My favorite is the Spicy Johnny roll. The BBQ albacore is also extremely delicious. I can't WAIT for the new Mikuni to open at 16th and J in midtown. Walking distance for my favorite sushi, I may have just died and gone to heaven!! more

By far the best 1/19/2003

This has to be one of the better sushi restaurants that I have ever eaten in, and that includes ALOT. It rivals some of the best sushi I found in hawaii, and they know what the're doing. Pros: great selection Cons: long wait more

Mikuni's makes the best sushi I've ever tasted! In fact, I don't know of any other sushi restaurant that even comes close... truly a local favorite among many... Oh, and the atmosphere is fantistic too - just love to watch the sushi chefs in action - they're fast and funny! Sushi Dreams 7/2/2002

Every two weeks or so, my boyfriend and I venture to Mikuni. It has become a ritual for us. We have tried a few other sushi places, none of which we believe to be half as good as Mikuni. why do I know more than the waitress? 6/2/2002

I've been to many Japanese restuarants before. This one is with the just okay ones. The wait for a table was long for one. Then the waitress took 10 minutes to just get our drink orders. After ordering our sushi and kitchen foods, another person brought the wrong sushi rolls. We asked and they said that was the right rolls. (the menu begs to differ) We then asked our waitress, 15 minutes later and we got the same response. Bad, very bad. Oh, by the way, I got dry old rice that was hard and crunchy with my dinner. :( !!
