Mike's is a great CASUAL place by N.J seashore standards. (Hey, the lobster special always sounded too cheap to be true (re previous review)). But I digress. I was so disappointed in the cream of crab soup I picked up at the take out market (thickened white sauce sans crabmeat )that I took to my computer before rinsing the sand off my feet to vent. Don't look for jumbo lump crab at $10 a crabcake but I've always been happy with the fried/steamed specials on the dock. Just don't pick up the takeout crab soup. more

Cheap over steamed and fake butter that tastes like plastic 8/30/2008

Got a $30 meal... came complete with over steamed lobster and crab... rubber and glue. They give you fake butter instead of drawn. Serve you in a disposable alum tray. And you have to get up to place your order. Just another tourist trap. Pros: eat outside BYO Cons: everything else more
