They said my car needed a timing belt. They told me that the old one was ""shredded"" Unfortunately for them, I'd already pulled the covers off and knew the belt was like new. He insisted it was shredded. When I asked to see the old belt, he talked to the tech who said the belt was like new. I asked what was wrong and he said it jumped a bunch of teeth. I asked what would cause that and he said ""bad tensioners"". I asked if he replaced the tensioners. He said no. I asked why? He said he didn't trust the belt. He said that the engine was binding. I said, no, it is not binding. It was turning over easily. Don't trust Mike or this shop.
