Mike's Pawn Shop

Worst experience ever beginning of the year my ex put a ring in layaway we split up and mike who clams today he does not own the business but when i went in and put the ring in layaway he told me he was the owner my ex and I split up I went in and Mike transferred the layaway slip to my name without my ex even being there granite I have not paid anything on this layaway I was not given a schedule date or time or anything we received nothing in the mail stating that we were late on our payments but I was told by Mike that if we put this in layaway and chose to cancel our layaway we would not be charged a fee today he told me that it would be in store credit when I got upset then he use the fact that I had not made a payment okay I understand that bit our original conversation basically he didn't care how long I left it in there and there was no schedule dates to pay on it I asked him even if I had made regular payments would he be giving me cash back or in store credit that's when I got angry because he told me it would be in store credit that is not what he told me when I put this in layaway needless to say he then revokes telling me that I can have in store credit and told me to get with my attorney so at first he said I could have in store credit for which I really didn't want because he lied to me when i called him on his dishonesty he then said u don get credit call your attorney I guess the end of this story is don't just believe what comes out of the man's mouth even if he says he's the owner he's not honest person is very deceitful and it's really sad I do have Attorney I pay for them every paycheck I'm going to use them I think he is legally transfer this into my name originally I put the layaway in my fiance's name without him being there that should have been clue number one there was something wrong I didn't even have to show ID for my ex fiance then when I went back in after splitting up the man changed it to my name the only two papers I took in today was one of receipt of where I paid and one with the original layaway he told me that's all I had then I had nothing but then I realized I have all the paperwork at home those are just the two I carried so he will be hearing from my attorney but I suggest no one do business with them they seem to be quite shady in my own opinion with some of the things I seen in there while I was in shopping more

I am a happy customer. Mike and his staff have always been helpful and willing to let me pawn my computer when I need money. I have never been turned away. more

I have gone to several pawn shop recently in search of nice gifts at affordable prices.Mikes Pawn Shop does have nice things however, again they are over priced.Maybe the owners of these pawn shops should visit retail dept stores to find out why they buy more than sell their goods. more
