How to make an old car look new 8/3/2009

I have an 2000 Focus that has been washed often but has never been detailed. Because I have a long-haired dog who goes everywhere with me, you can probably imagine how bad the interior of the car was. They worked on my car today and it looks new. The exterior paint glows from the waxing and the interior looks as good as new. Though they put in more hours than they expected when they quoted the price, the price did not change. 16yr old car is new again 8/4/2007

By all accounts I am a neglectful car owner. I have a great little convertible that I left to fend off the weather, not to mention concrete dust by itself. The car sat for over a year with no cover. Well it finally came time to take care of it and I thought, no biggie I'll just take it up to the car wash and clean it up, not so much. The layer of concrete dust that settle on it was stuck. I realized that I needed a professional; after doing a little research, I choose Mike's. AMAZING! The 16yr old paint looks new again, the inside is perfect. The found things under the seats that I thought were lost forever. It was one of the most meticulous details I have ever had done. The car looked as good as the day I drove it home from the dealer. My vote for best car detail service 7/29/2007

Excellent detailing service describes Mike's custom detail. I have had two cars detailed by them in the last 2 months and have been very satisfied with both jobs. I hadn't seen the real color of my green Subaru for years - almost forgetting what the color could look like. I'm not sure what they did to get the color to come back on the car but it really looks new again. Employees are courteous and the service is personal too. In all, this is the best place I've taken my cars to be detailed (and I've been to several larger places that don't take the same care) and they are a very good value. I would highly recommend their services! Pros: pick-up/delivery, attention to detail more

Not a particle unturned 6/22/2007

I bought my car new in 2000 and never did a thing for it except change the oil .I relied solely on the rain to wash it and ,I'm embarassed to say ,never cleaned a crumb off the carpet. Pros: Excellent results Cons: None come to mind more

I am going to filter out my real feelings and go with the facts on this one. They are very nice and will bring you to wherever and pick you up at the end of the day. They were not able to clean the outside of my car due to a work line breaking!?! The inside of the car did not look "new" in my eyes. It is not really that dirty of a car to begin with. There is still dirt in the car that easily could be cleaned with a simple wipe of a rag. How does a detailer miss that? If I could attach a picture I would. I honestly think that I could of done a better job with some armoral and an hour of time. On a side note, they did not even touch the trunk. Not vacuumed or anything. BTW, it is a 2 seater and the cost for this service was $150. Reminder, the outside was not cleaned at all. I have had my car detailed before and the results were much much better and It did look new. Pros: Pick up and drop off. Nice guy. Cons: Bad service. more

Fantastic service, great work 1/18/2006

We hired Mike's to detail our car after it had been stolen and trashed. The thieves had left the car full of dirt, cigarette ashes, papers, and assorted scum. Mike's actually sent someone to our home to pick up the car, and returned it in sparkling condition at the end of the workday. They were incredibly easy to work with, extremely conscientious, and did great work. I highly recommend them. Pros: Pick up and delivery, Inexpensive, Fast Cons: Frankly, none. more

  • Our full-detail includes washing the exterior, applying a clay bar treatment to remove anything which has become embedded in the finish so that the exterior is fully smooth, then applying a heavy coat of wax followed by a light glaze application for maximum protection. Wheels and tires are power washed and treated. All exterior chrome, vinyl and rubber are treated with the appropriate dressings for maximum protection and appearance. Glass is cleaned and treated.

    The interior is vacuumed, carpets and mats shampooed, dash, side panels and trays cleaned and treated, upholstery cleaned (leather cleaned and treated), door jambs treated with a protectant and all crevices vacuumed and cleaned. We also are very experienced in overspray and tar removal.
