Strangely, none of the individuals who wrote a bad review provide a true name, service date or invoice number that can verify having had service from my company. Some reviews appear to be of a third party nature, which suggests the works of ex-employees wishing to due collateral damage to my name and reputation. For example we do not move computers or monitors unless pre-packaged. All damage which may occur is dealt with promptly by our repair specialist by appointment. more

Never Again! 5/31/2011

Good: I give these people a one star only because I do not have the option to give them a zero.. Bad: Did not show up for the move. Had to reschedule for a later date. Fees charged were triple the estimated fees. Men wasted time on personal business that was charged back to me!. Improvements: Get another mover.. Other: This guy moved me twice. The first move was all right, the second move was like I was dealing with a different person, mentally and otherwise. Wouldn't go near this business again.. more

unlicensed illegal 4/5/2010

I used this guy and it was a disaster. He is unlicensed illegal and unisured. My personaly experience showed that he has no respect for the regulations or the law and I would caution you to avoid him. more

Roll the dice and hire "The Butcher" 7/9/2008

Mike the mover is not licensed by the WUTC to operate in the state of WA so if you do decide to hire him to mangle your furniture, which he does most of the time, just remeber that you have absolutely no recourse with the regulatory enforcement agencies and he is not audited or required to follow the drug testing and insurance requirements. The funny thing is, he charges as if he were licensed and insured so you may as well pay the same and get the guranteed service. more

These guys were incredible! 2/6/2008

I was looking MIke the Mover up to recommend to a friend and found these reveiws. 2 gentlement and a truck moved all our major items and 120 boxes, including antique piano, into our 3400 sf home and there was not one problem. They did it all in 9 hours. I don't understand the negative reviews. Regards, Bill R. more

Rebuttial 2/5/2008

In response to Steven D's Review..We have no record of ever moving this person. All of our employees are randomly drug tested so it is not possible for them to show up on a job site smelling like marijuana. I have personally handled all damage claims for the year 2007 and have never seen one come through for a "pricey" 25" computer monitor. If some one else is using our name please feel free to call us and let us know. more

Worth the Price 8/2/2007

I recently used "Mike the Mover" for an in-town move. The previous movers had totally broken and damaged things getting them into storage, but Mike's men were extremely polite and helpful. They fixed my broken table and futon, and assembled my bed and dresser for me. They were efficient and pleasant. A little high, but it was worth it for the service and care. more

Horrible 4/12/2007

Worst experience ever with a mover. Crew showed up three hours late, reeking of pot smoke. They dropped my very pricey 25" computer monitor, breaking it permanently. "Mike" refused to pay for the damages; basically said that they were "sorry for the accident, we'll refund the cost for your move"... which also never happened. more

Mike the Mover-The Best Choice for the Pacific NW 10/25/2006

I have used Mike the Mover 5 times in the past 10 years and every time I use them, they have the lowest bid,they are careful, their movers are cheerful and on time. They take great care with my antique furniture, and they have great followup. I keep coming back to Mike the Mover because their rates have never gone up and shipping company's are skyrocketing right now. I am moving again in 2 weeks and have once again gone back to Mike the Mover because of my satisfaction with their service. more

Worst experience ever 5/25/2006

My move lasted twice as long as the estimate and the crew damaged some antique furniture. I followed up with 3 to 4 phone calls a week for three months, and visited them on site at least 4 times. Each time I was told the owner “Mike” would contact me. He never did. I am now going to pursue this through the courts. more
