I have been going to Mike and Ed's since I was a little girl. I am 30 now and live in NJ and can't find good Bar-B-Que any where. I took my NJ born and raised boyfriend to Mike and Ed's when we went to visit family and now he is in love with it too... Great food, great people and you can't find that any where else! more

Yep! 9/28/2008

Mike & Ed's has good bar-b-que, chicken fingers, and sides. Service is fast, and prices reasonable. The meat doesn't have chunks of fat, which I can't stand. Good homemade desserts. Good prices on catering, and food trays. Would recommend. more

MIKE & EDS BBQ 3/15/2008

Mike and eds is one of the best. I live in San Diego, Ca. When I go to Phenix City I make sure I go to Mike and Eds every time. I tell my family I have to have their bbq. Thanks guys and keep up the good work more

If you want excellent barbecue, try Mike & Ed's Barbecue in Phenix City. We've tried barbecue in a lot of different cities, but their barbecue is the best. more

Great Food 9/7/2005

BBQ is one of my favorite foods, and I've been eating Mike and Eds BBQ for years. Their chipped BBQ is fabulous, and they don't charge you an arm and a leg for it. Closed on Sunday. They usually have a coupon in the LEO for a 5.00 pound of chipped pork. more

  • In 1985, Mike Gullat and Ed Cook worked together in the Insurance industry when an opportunity came up to purchase an established barbecue restaurant in Phenix City, Alabama. They had both frequented this fine establishment and thought they might have a go at it. In fact, the food was so good they knew they couldn't come up short. Over the years they added new recipes, tweaked the old and after many awards and lots of full bellies, they expanded from that one dandy little barbecue haven to five dandy barbecue havens. They also expanded the business to offer catering for large or small events and pretty much everything in-between.
