Mijouri Sushi Bune Restaurant

I wouldn't eat anything off the sushi boats, but eating off the menu is pretty good! The prices are great for the quality. The staff have been nothing but lovely, particularly the older lady that seems to be one of the owners. We'll be back! more

I am not a food connoisseur but I do know when I like a restaurant and would recommend it to others. more

To be very honest, the food was just okay. However I found the dining counter to be very sticky. One cup of tea was given and no refill was offered. I sat down at the counter with my 2 year old daughter and my wife. I noticed the high chair was sticky also and very rickety, imagine what numerous missing screws makes it feel like it would collapse will a bigger child. It all went down hill from there. The Very first sushi plate off the floating boats was a basic California Roll, except for the eyelash my wife noticed on it, it might have tasted okay. I gave it back to one of the three sushi chefs. That's when I noticed the oldest ""chef"" look over at the other younger chef and the 'stink eye"" came out. It was no more than a minute that the Stink Eye Chef saw I had a Starbucks Ice Coffee cup. We just came from Starbucks around the corner of the Mijouri Restaurant. He loudly pointed at me and said in a very nasty voice, You can't have that here! I said no problem I'm not drinking it, it will stay where it is on the counter. He very loudly said I had to remove it from from his presence. I took it back to our car and sat for at least 5 minutes to calm down. After I returned and sat down I knew my appetite was gone and ate three plates of 3 to 2 piece sushi. Not wanting to cause any more of a scene I drank my little tea cup and waited for the waitress to refill it. Maybe because we were so close to the cash register side the ten plus times the teapot went past us it would have cause a traffic jam if our tea was refilled. Bottom line we were ridiculed in front of the other patrons and felt very unwelcome. My wife and I spent $10 for sushi and even left (should have been a penny) $1 tip. Really, how may times would you go to a sushi place and spend only $10? We will never go back there to eat. We will tell all we meet of our dining experience at Mijouri Sushi Bune Restaurant in San Bruno, Calif. By the way not once did I raise my voice. Avoid and enjoy. Only tried the sushi and have been pretty pleased. My husband and I haven't gotten sick in and we've been there often... so that's a good thing. the older sushi chef does sip a lot,A LOT of sake and does get a little belligerent so, just watch that. he can come off as rude. remember to say please and thank you. ha ha. more

I was craving for sushi for dinner, and wasn't really up to drive to the city for good sushi. So, I thought I would give it a shot. Well, most of the sushi were dried and rice was too mushy. Thought value was okay, but I wouldn't return in the evening for sure. I might give it a shot during lunch hours someday. But that would be their last opportunity to make it right. more

Recently went to Mijouri Sushi for the first time. Most of the sushi was average in quality, but the spicy tuna was good. Since the rest. was only 20% full, much of the sushi sat out for a long time. The food was not the disappointing part...the SERVICE was. As my friend and I sat happily chatting after our meal, the owner/manager told us to eat sushi or leave. Thinking he was joking we laughed and continued to talk. Then, about 30 min. later her came back and VERY aggressively told us we could not longer sit at the sushi bar unless were going to eat. Very surprised and insulted we immediately left. If you are a stickler for good food, good atmosphere, and good service, this may not be the place for you. more

You can't get better sushi in this area... Ample parking and the service could not be any better. The waitstaff attended to our every request in a prompt matter. And the fish! Fresh and large cuts of sashimi, nigiri, maki. The tempura was also large. Also had the green tea ice cream and it was yummy. Pros: Good cuts, Impeccable Service, Parking more

This place has got the best sushi ever!!! I just looooove what they do to the California Roll--the Crab is mixed for a soft texture--not like those other sushi places where they just stick in a clump of crab! Man, sit at the bar and watch the variety of sushi go by! or order from the menu for udon, tempura, etc, sit at a table or booth! Love this place. Pros: THE BEST!!!!! more
