What can I really say about Miguel's except for it's yet another chain restaurant serving mass-produced, corporate-created food. I suspect that people don't go here for the creative, original dishes, but rather the sports bar, which is actually a pretty happening place.
Food is pretty mediocre, at best...even the chips and salsa leave much to be desired. Not being particularly hungry, I ordered one of the "special" quesadillas. How one destroys a quesadilla is beyond me, but it was too salty to eat, and the servers were rather indifferent to my complaint (honestly, if you don't care how my meal is, why bother asking?). My husband's burrito was edible, but still on the salty side...and I REALLY like salt. Flavor wise, I've definitely had better. For the price, I was definitely expecting something better than I'd find at a mom and pop taco stand.
The bottom line is, if you're looking for fabulous Mexican food, you won't find it here. Expect a sterilized version of your Mexican favorites tailored to fit the palettes of adventurous Mid-Western Gringos. However, if it's a fun meeting place where the big game is on and margaritas abound you're looking for, this might be the place for you. Who knows? Even the food might taste better after knocking a few back.
