Editorial review from Citysearch 7/10/2013

I couldn't have imagined a worse experience than what I had with Midwest cycle repair. Never let Roger touch your vehicle. In addition to charging me $80 for NOT repairing my bike and breaking a turn signal and not replacing it, I found he also STOLE the vintage tool kit that came with my sabre. Absolutely terrible experience, never ever ever go here, no matter how desperate you are. more

There needs to be negative stars for this place 9/29/2011

This is the last place on Earth you want to take your motorcycle for repair. I took my Honda Shadow 1100 in for stator replacement and was quoted an estimate of 2 hours for the job. When I picked the bike up, I was charged for 4 and a half hours of labor and the bike had mysteriously developed an anti-freeze leak and a loud-tapping noise coming from the motor. It is possible the tapping noise could be good spark from the new stator that is where the sound seems to be coming from; however they also broke the mounting position for my side chrome cover off of the engine case. They refused to take responsibility for any of these oversights and telling me and I quote more

The worst experience ever 8/3/2011

I wish there were a worse rating than 1 star. These guys are about as experienced as my 5 year old working with bikes. I took a super nice bike there and got it back in way worse shape with absolutely nothing done and still had to pay for it. These guys will lie through their teeth to get you to spend more money. Totally worthless. They told me that ""uhhhh, i think yer moter is messed up and froze up"" I went up there and cranked it over easily. Seriously...worthless bunch of people and about as dishonest as they come. I wouldn't take your bike there unless you want them to take it all apart, charge you a ton and give it back with broken pieces... more

JUST SAY NO 7/26/2011

These guys have no idea what they are doing. For someone who has worked at Dreyer Honda you would think that they would have some knowledge of big bike Hondas.below is my story...\r Took bike in because I did something stupid and tried to jump my bike from a car.Call them said they could pick the bike up for $45.00 (thought this was great). 1. Its the starter, must have fried when I jumped it. $225.00 because its not a standard starter.cash only please. 2. nope was wrong its the starter relay $50.00 cash only please.3. nope wrong again its the ignition coil $150.00 cash only please.4.nope wrong again must be the pulse generator $150.00 or ecu $1000.00 which would you like me to try? Can't find a pulse generator. We really can't fix this, without making sure that the ECU is good.By this time I just want to get the bike back.Did bring bike back to my house at no charge. It was a mess when I got it back. Missing parts, lighting and wiring for the bike not put back together. And the guy said when he dropped it off ""heres the pulse generator and handed it to me"" didnt even put it back on the bike. These guys may be able to work on smaller bikes, but dont even thing about bring them anything over 500cc or with a fairing/saddle bags. The one mechanic that worked on my bike was right out of cycle school and never worked on Goldwings.I guess I was the Guinea pig. You may be thinking this wouldn't happen to me.\r I'm just saying ""Dont do it,you will be sorry"" more
