Middle Creek Riding Stables

We just got back from the smokies, we took a horse ride at middle creek stable. Me and the family had the best time of our lives. The staff was very nice and helped our kids through the whole ride. It was one of the best rides we have ever been on, and we have been all over the south ridding. We highly recommend MIDDLE CREEK STABLES. THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL!!!! Pros: DO WHAT? Went and had a great time. As a matter of fact we (my whole family of 5) rode twice in one day. The veiws were out of this world and were better than we expected. It was very hot the day we rode, but the trails are about 80% shaded. We did not think our children would enjoy it as much as us, boy were we wrong. The guides they have there are very knowledgeable and friendly. And before we knew it had our kid's laughing so hard they're cheeks were hurting. We were sort of supprised at how much attention everyone received (NERVES) even though there was other families in our group that rode. And for those of you that don't ride? The big covered deck with rocking chairs made it very comfortable for my mother-in-law. The owner even took the time to play his guitar and sing for her. I think she wanted to stay right on that deck all day. Or was sweet on him, I don't know... We have been going to Pegion Forge for 4 years now and have ridden at 2 other stables, but this place has the healthiest looking horses we have seen yet. We are planning on going back in the fall and will be riding here then. As a matter of fact we have already made our reservations. Not just a riding stables.... Fun, fun, fun for the whole family!!!! WE made reservations with this stable and they were then lost by the stable staff. (?) Web site and flyers state they are open until 6:00 . When we arrived at the reserved 5:00 pm time we were told that they had shut down for the day due to no business since 1:30 that day. When we asked about our reserved time we were rudely told that sometimes reservations are lost and they would not accomodate us.The staff was extremely rude and defensive. I do not recommend this riding stable. There are many dependable stables in the area. Middle Creek Riding Stable did not honor our reservations and were rude in telling us they would not do so. Additionally, when we called to speak to the owner later that day a man who identified himself as the 'owner' refused to give us his name. We had a wonderful experience and the kids and adults all enjoyed it. Very friendly staff with a beautiful trail. Well guided with well educated/informative tour guides. Will go back again. Pros: All Around Great more
