I bought a used car from a friend of the manager (Chris). In May (2014), Chris went through the entire car to assure me that the car was in great condition. It still is. I went to change my oil today on my own and noticed that my drain plug had been severely stripped. I could not get the plug off. I called Midas of Lewis Center and told them that the last place this car was serviced for an oil change was at their location and that the drain plug is completely stripped. Chris told me to come in and they would take a look at it. I went in, assuming they would notice that one of their employees did not replace the drain plug like they should have and that they would replace it free of charge. First, they spend 30 minutes doing nothing. Then they call me in and Chris tells me that it'll cost $10 of labor to get the plug off that they stripped in the first place. After arguing with Chris, telling him that I shouldn't have to pay for something they didn't replace, I agreed to pay the $10 of labor. Then he asked me where my oil was (I had mentioned that I was doing my own oil change and I guess he thought I was bringing the oil with me). I told him I didn't have any with me, which he replied verbatim, ""How could you not bring oil when you knew we would take your drain plug off. It's common sense to do something like that."" It doesn't not seem like common sense to pay for something that was not my fault, that was in fact the fault of the service station. I decided I didn't want to pay for an oil change, since I have my own supplies already. Chris yelled for a guy to take my guy down and told me to ""Have a seat in the waiting room."" When my car was brought up to the front I got in and drove away. I forgot to mention that Chris yelled at me for wasting his time. I drove all the way from Dublin, Ohio to have them replace something that they forgot to replace. \r

I called corporate and have filed a complaint. Hopefully I will get some kind of resolution. All in all, Chris should be fired for the way he treated me. I can guarantee you that he has treated many people that way as well. \r

For a 20 year old male who knows enough about cars to get by, I should not have been treated this way. Even if I knew nothing, Chris should have apologized for the stripped drain plug (a $6 part) and should have replaced it free of charge. \r

If you want to go to a place where you will be treated like an idiot, go to Midas of Lewis Center.
