Mid Valley Veterinary Hospital

I just can't believe how caring and competent this facility is. Dr. Kim is very nice and easy going. When my cat was attacked by a dog I was seen promptly. After being given an very fair and reasonable estimate, she did surgery to repair his wound. A very nice nurse called me when she was done and I was surprised to find that they stay open until 8pm. I am happy to report that Bobo the cat is doing great. I highly recommend Mid Valley Vet Hospital if your pet needs any sort of animal surgery. Bobo thats you guys! more

Wow, very impressed on my first visit. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean and warm interior. I was very quickly greeted by a friendly front office gal named Claudia. Once I was in the exam room it took no longer than 12 minutes for a vet, Dr. Pitt to enter. He was very warm and friendly. My pet was very sick and he gave me several options for treatment as I am a single mom and money is tight. We agreed to hospitilize her over night. the next day she was much better and I was called in the morning by Dr. Pitt to pick her up in the afternoon. The bill was ACTUALLY below the estimate. Thats a change!! I would highly recommend Mid Valley Vet Hospital and Dr. Pitt if you have pets and live in the Van Nuys/ Valley area. Thank you staff also.. more

My dog was hit by a car before Xmas and tore an ACL in her knee. She also had major skin injuries due to being thrown 5 feet after being hit. Thanks to God she lived. I took her to a fantastic vet hospital, Mid Valley Vet Hospital in Van Nuys/Reseda and they attended to her injuries right away. I found them to be caring, thorough, and very professional. The vets were incredible. She spent 4 days in the hospital and had a TPLO procedure to repair her knee. I am happy to report that she is almost back to normal except for a limp. I would highly recommend Mid Valley Vet Hospital if your pet needs any type of animal surgery or animal knee surgical procedures. They also helped me with the bill by getting me financed thru Care Credit. Mid Valley Vet in my opinion is an incredible vet and second to none. more

So many good and professional experiences I could run out of room. Kind, clean, compassionate and very very professional. The place is top notch in my book After seeing a vet at McClave which is now corporate owned, I tried mid valley vet and developed a great vet relationship with a kind, easy going, and very compassionate vet Dr. Michael Pitt.. I will likely never go to any other vet/vet hospital than Mid Valley Vet. I truly think they are the best vet facility in the valley. more

Kind and caring staff. Very fair estimates and they always give options. My entire block uses this vet and loves them. They are so professional and the facility is squeaky clean. My 2 dogs actually get excited when I need to bring them in. Thanks you guys. A++++ more

Dr. Pitt and Dr. Kim are the best. Never had anything but good experiences bringing my pets into Mid Valley Vet Hospital. Kind, attentive and caring. The front office staff is wonderful. I was referred there after a bad experience at another vet hospital. I drive all the way from Woodland Hills because I think they are one of the best vet facilities in the valley. Some time ago my dog wasn't feeling well. I called my regular vet and both doctors were in surgery. Not wanting to wait another day I called Mid Valley. They could see me right away. Dr. Pitt gave my dog a cursery examination and announced, ""He is very sick. He must be admitted because he needs to be monitored."" more

You guys are the best! :))) A million thanks for saving my dog when she was attacked by another dog at the dog park. THANK GOD you guys work late hours>.. I have been a big fan of this hospital and all the wonderful staff and doctors for 3 years now since moving into the valley. I pledge never to use another vet other thank you guys. My little girl Roxy and myself thank you guys a million times over. Keep up the good work and please don't ever change the wonderful staff and doctors. more

I have been taking my 2 dogs (only for emergency and update Shots) to MV for the past 5 years and have very litle confidence or satisfaction in the Staff or Doctors there. 1. They have mis-diagnosed problems on many occations 2. They take the animal into a back room to do ANY procedure or shot, leaving you in a small exam room alone to wonder who is performing and what has been done. Why so secret? 3. Prices are very high for the services performed compared to LA Central and all others. 4. Most procedures are performed not by a Doctor, but by staff. I have had better luck with Google. more

Competent and caring. The front office staff is wonderful and friendly. They are open 7 days and holidays. I have never and I mean NEVER had any type of problem or issue with the prices or care my 2 labs receive at Mid Valley Veterinary Hospital. Best of all I love the vets, Dr. Pitt and Dr. Kim. They are truly wonderful vets who ALWAYS have the best interest of my pets. I vote Mid Valley the number 1 vet in the valley. p.s. Great parking. long evening hours, and holidays. more

I have taken my dog/puppy to Mid Valley Vet several times and each time I have NEVER been satisfied with the customer service I get from the staff...About a month ago I lost my dog, and she was very important to me and my family because we have had her for 9 years, recently before she passed they had prescribed medicine to her to ""help"" her and the medicine was 100$ for each refill, (obviously we were clearly going to by the med.) we saw no improvement in my dog...I myself do not have a car, and last month I called for help because my dog was terribly sick, I carried her all the way there and the best they could do for me was telling me that they could just put her to sleep because the vet was in surgery?! As a loving pet owner this was NOT acceptable to me...My family and I have been trying to mend with the loss for a while now but I am traumatized at what someone can tell you when your in that situation and are distraught, not even a little bit of sympathy? The world has really amazed me this time, I don't mean to be rude but, this is my opinion... Also it took them months to ever reply to our calls, and our emergency refill needs...I have never been so disappointed, I hope my review helps many.... more

Don't believe any bad reviews. In 5 yrs have had nothing but positive experiences. Great Service. Love the extended hours. They offer 6 months interest free financing when my dog broke his hip. Dr. Pitt is an incredible vet who volunteers his time saving/rescuing retired war dogs. The front staff is very friendly, always remembering my name. My pets are actually happy when I pull into the parking lot. They are a no thrill, upfront, friendly and caring vet facility always providing incredible/caring service. I love the fact that I always get a written estimate prior to treatment and often the final price is BELOW the estimate. My opinion.. Mid Valley Vet is World Class and the best vet facility in the valley.. HANDS DOWN!! more

PLEASE THINK TWICE!! Staff is very rude. Dr. Kim did not give my dog more than 30 seconds of her time befor she gave me a bill of $900. They get you in with a low Van Nuys office vist price, then stick you with a high bill. Office manager is VERY rude, and not very helpfull. Spoke to OWNER Dr. Pitt who claimes he is not the owner, but just works for the corporation, that he owns. He ref me to the rude office manager. more

We brought my dog here for two different surgeries this year. The first time was for her luxating patella and the second time for her broken leg. Mid Valley Veterinary Hospital gave our dog great care and treatment, and I am very happy to say that my dog has recovered and is now walking and playing like a normal dog. It is a miracle! Helpful. Never rude or in a hurray. Always there for me when I have a pet emergency. Have been living in the area for years, and the entire neighborhood loves the facility. Best Vet in the valley!! The prices are very reasonable considering that vet medicine is very expensive. All my pets love the vets and start wagging their tales when we pull into the parking lot. I have never walked out feeling I was taken advantage of or paid more than I thought was reasonable. Keep up the good work Mid Valley vet!! Pros: Caring, extended hours. My first impression was good over the phone, speaking with a girl named Felicia. The next day i was able to get same day service but the girl Claudia was not rude but definetly not polite on the phone, but was rude when i got there. I assume the rude girls working the desk were 1 or both of the ones i talked to on the phone. They didn't introduce themselves, shuffled me into a room for a few minutes before weighing my dogs . Finally the dr comes in with who i assume was an intern who was not introduced to me by the dr or by herself and looked like she didn't want to be there. The dr told me my am. staff w/ a false pregnancy would pass through it w/o any serious problems. he gave me a solution to get my dog to eat his food and that the growth on his eye was nothing to worry about. he also checked his vitals and said they were normal, but still wanted to do blood work...which he neglected to inform me costed 140 DOLLARS! The results came back the next day and were ""normal"". Big surprise there...my dog wasn't acting strange or showing any cause for concern yet he still wanted blood work done. I called him and talked to him for twenty minutes about what i felt was an unnecessary test. he told me it was totally standard procedure and told me to ask any other vet. He was obviously offended with my issue. He told me about pro bono (free) work and volunteering and rescuing dogs from afghanistan. I told him i respected his passion for animals and his work but still thought he favored the business aspect and not the health. I advised that he notify people when something is expensive and he said ""Thanks for the uh...advice but i think i'll keep doing it the way i have for 18 years"" with an attitude. He was probably just mad that someone saw through is little game. Dr is very knowledgeable but watch out for him convincing you about ""preventative tests"" or something like that. Dr didn't earn my recommendation and i think one of his staff members is a meth user judging by the look of her eyes (she looked like she hadn't slept in days). I have been utilizing Mid Valley Veterinary Hospital for 2 years now. I have brought pets in for simple vaccines and serious injuries involving broken bones. They have always fixed my dogs up. Caring, easy going and the front office staff is SECOND TO NONE>>> i usually see Dr. Pitt who is wonderful and easy to speak with and understand. He always speaks in medical terms that are easy to understand. They now have late evening hours which I find very useful. Hands down Mid Valley Vet is world class and the best vet I have ever used in the valley. thanks guys! Pros: Full service. Vet orhtopedic surgery. Caring/compassionate. Cons: none!!! more

I have been bringing my pets to Mid Valley Veterinary Hospital for over 5 years. I have never had any problems or issues with any employee or doctor. I usually only bring my pets in for routine vaccines or skin allergies, but when my lab Sam broke a bone last year Mid Valley was there to place a plate over the break and shes doing great. I utilize their evening hours as I work in downtown Los Angeles. The entire neighborhood loves Mid Valley and I have never had any problems or issues with the doctors or staff. Pros: Loving, caring! Fantastic doctor and staff!! Evening Hours.. Cons: None!!! more

BAIT AND SWITCH!!! Their ""Vaccination Clinic"" Tuesdays and Saturdays is a TOTAL RIP OFF!!!! $12 PER vaccine... NOT $15 PER 5-in-one 6-in-one vaccinations!!! RUDE!!! Now they say they don't know what I'm talking about When they had told me on THREE DIFFERENT VISITS that it was $15 PER 5-in-one or 6-in-one vaccinations during Vaccine Clinics. I live IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. I know what they told me. So INSULTING that they told me $15 for ALL the vaccines But when I FINALLY got over there with all my dogs they told me it would be $12 PER VACCINE!!! BAIT AND SWITCH! LIARS! CHEATERS!!! LAUGH NOW, MORONS!!! WORD IS GOING OUT ON YOU!!!! Pros: NO PROS - Need a NO STAR RATING!!!! Cons: BAIT AND SWITCH VACCINE CLINIC SCAM!!! more
