Michi Kusa

I love the fact that I can always get a table on a Friday or Saturday night regardless of the time I go. Michi Kusa offers an extensive menu and also offers take out orders. I almost always order sushi when I go and recommend their shrimp tempora roll. My fiance tends to order non fish meals that I've also tasted and they've all been good. We both love their Beef Teppanyaki appetizer. Also try their wonderful Mai Tai but be careful as they can leave you loopy after just one. This is a really comfortable restaurant where you can dress casual or take in up a notch and feel comfortable either way. Prices are reasonable and the ambiance is very modern Japanese. I recommend it for anyone who wants to pick up sushi on the way home from work, have a good meal on Saturday night without waiting in line, or just sit at the bar and order appetizers and drinks. Also if you become a regular the owner Brian might just treat you to a bowl of green tea or ginger ice cream on the house as a thank you. I love going to Michi Kusa whenever I am out in the Framingham area. There is never a wait and the atmosphere is great for a quiet yummy sushi meal. I dine regularly at Michi Kusa and have done so for over the past year. My boyfriend and I usually sit at the bar and order a selection of the sashimi and maki rolls, as well as some hot appetizers. The owner, Brian, makes a point of personally getting to know the patrons of his establishment. He remembers your name and often offers you samplings of special dishes he loves. The prices are very reasonable, with many unique maki rolls. The seafood selections are fresh and the presentation appetising. The bar area contains a large flat screen TV and offers many wines by the glass. Additionally, the main dining area has a wonderful private feeling, but is great for large parties OR couples looking for privacy. The bar and wait staff are very pleasant. I was so disappointed with the food at Michi Kusa. This place was way overpriced for what you get. The maki tasted like maki that you get a a grocery store (horrible) and the sashimi cuts were very small and was not fresh at all. I had the unagi sushi and it was dried and cold.
