I've been getting my hair cut by Ian ever since he started at Michel's Hair Studio and he has always provided me with an exceptional look that is both edgy and classy at the same time, I often come in with abstract suggestions of what I would like to try next with my hairdo and he always creates a perfect execution of what my elusive yammering's ask for. Right now I am rocking what I call the ""Metroxican"" which he stylistically sheared out of my mass of hair. It's a Metropolitan cut with a Latin vibe to it that bends the rough & tough masculine with a soft ""I won't bite"" femininity, and I must say the ladies love it! Thanks Ian! Michel is an expert artist. He has cut and colored my thick, wavy hair at long, medium and now short lengths and it always looks amazing (not an easy task with my hair texture). Color is unbelievable and very natural looking. Everyone at the salon is very friendly and hospitable. I used to drive to Beverly Hills from North County to get my hair done after several attempts to find a stylist in town , then I found Michel. Definitely the best salon in town! I have been seeing Annie Reilly for the past 8 years and have followed her from several salons to her current. She has consistently given me the best haircuts and the thing I love about her the most is her ability to listen to what I want and follow through. Her cuts are always clean and precise andgrow out perfectly. Her attitude is always positive and and her disposition always cheerfuland fun, not to mention her professional attitude. The staff at the Michel Benaroch salon is the best! They are always polite and friendly> The moment I step into the salon I am always greeted by a friendly face and asked how I can be helped and the staffs professionalism and politeness is consistent until i walk out the door. Michel Benaroch has been coloring and cutting my hair for nearly 10 years. I have lived all over the country and been to many colorists and stylists---there is no one better than Michel. Even when I lived in areas such as Seattle, I never found anyone who did such an amazing job with my color and cut. I would often ""make an excuse"" to come to San Diego just so that Michel could color and cut my hair (or fix what some ""high priced/well-intentioned "" stylist had done to my hair in Seattle). Michel's studio is amazing, his quality of service (from the reception desk to his assistants) are truly remarkable. His other salon Bella (in La Jolla) is fabulous as well. As we know, it is hard to find that perfect stylist--and once you do, then you want to stick with them! Michel has always listened to my needs, took my unhealthy, flat colored hair and brought it to life while consistently cutting it to perfection. My husband now goes to Michel for his haircuts as well. I cannot say enough good things about Michel and his studio. You must try his studio. Additionally, Anita is amazing for extensions! I have been to several ""experts"" in San Diego and Orange County, and she is truly the very best at this craft. If you are considering extensions for any purpose (length, body or both), be sure to consult first with Anita (a truly wonderful person as well). You will not be disappointed. Annie Riley of the Michel Benaroch Hair Studio RUINED MY HAIR. Instead of cutting it the way I asked, she cut my hair into what looks like a growing out mullet. HIDEOUS! When I told her I was not happy, she gave me a nasty attitude. When I told Michel Benaroch, the salon owner, that I was very unhappy with my hideous new haircut from Annie Riley, he said he could not do anything because she is a booth renter and not an employee. He then tried to sell me hair products to mask the destruction. What?!?!?! I went here for my first time the other day and it is a great place! Anita is an amazing stylist, beautiful young lady, and genuinely nice person! I would highly recommend her to any man/woman who is looking for a great cut/styling from a great/friendly person. I had my first visit to Michel Benaroch Hair Studio recently and I absolutly loved it! I went to see Sumika, a fabulous stylist there for my highlights and haircut. To be honest I was kind of nervous because I found them on city search but when I got there they made me feel so comfortable. First of all the place is so elegant and when I sat down the offered me coffee, tea, soda, what ever I wanted. The staff was so friendly and I felt like they really cared. Sumika was awesome, she was really thoural during our consultation and really listened to what I wanted and also gave feed back on what she thought would fit me! She did very detailed work and when she was finished It looked absolutly amazing. She did my highlights perfect! I like natural looking highlights and I think she did some low lights in there to to make a nice blend! Also I have really curly hair and she blew it out so straight for me, I have never seen my hair so silky! All in all it was a great experience and would recommend that you go see Sumika, not only a great hairstylist but such a sweet girl as well!! I cant wait till my next appointment! more

His salon in Del Mar has an amazing view of the ocean. His color skills are like no other. My haircuts are so good they can last and be styled be my for upwards of 8 weeks!
