This restaurant is excellent, the food, the service, the owner, Michael, a very nice host. . Everything is great, from the bread and butter to the calamari, the salmon, and of course the tomato sauce...perfection. This is the best Italian restaurant in this area. You will love it. more

Best Italian Restaurant in the Area 12/31/2010

Good: Everything is great, from the owner, to the service, especially the food and atmosphere, it is excellent!. Other: The food is absolutely the best, the people are great, and Michael, the owner is a wonderful host. He genuinely cares about his patrons. The calamari is so fresh and tasty. The salmon is also good. The eggplant rollatine melts in your mouth. The ravioli's are excellent, as well as the tomato sauce, better than homemade. Even the water and rolls & butter are good, which can be unusual in any restaurant. You will love everything about this place, it is the best!!. more

The Best 2/27/2007

Never mind that the food alone is incredible, the staff make you feel right at home. 2 Visits and they welcome you by name, unbelievable!!! I've had several functions here and everyone that attended has gone back for Dinner. One of the best places I ever ate. more

Oh so Yummy! 8/31/2005

There are a ton of Italian restaurants in North Jersey but Michael's Riverside stands out above the crowd. The food and wait staff have always been top notch but a recent renovation has made the atmosphere top notch as well. The menu is served in courses with giant salad, soups and appetizers, next a course of pasta, and finally the meats. The number of sauces is great and the alfredo and vodka sauces are exceptionally good. more
