If you are crafty you're in luck. If you're not, good luck grabbing someone to help you. Poor customer service. During the holiday season there were a few helpful employees but they are no longer there or maybe in a different time than when I go. But for some reason when I go in the look exactly like the store manager. I hope he didn't let go of the people who do not look like him and think that is good. I have reported this to the corporate office. Anyway. They need to figure out how they want to form their lines. Every time I walk in it is a different. 1. separate lines for each register. 2. one big line that goes to the front to the middle of the store. more

It is a good place to go for your kids arts and crafts projects at school. Make sure to look for a coupon in the paper before going as usually they have good discounts. more

I prefer this newer Michael's over the Pasadena location on Colorado. The overall scheme is the same, of course, but the square footage is greater and the lighting is brighter. Another plus is that this newer location in Glendale is a single story...don't have to climb any stairs to find out that what you're looking for was downstairs to begin with. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they even have more of a selection to choose from on their standard stock (as opposed to their seasonal stock). Parking at this location is for the entire center, so finding a space close isn't always possible. The staff here has generally been very helpful...although...and this isn't really sexist although it might sound like it...I usually find that the women are more knowledgeable about the craft and wedding items. more

I strive to be an artsy person, so I love to come here whenever I take up a new hobby. I used to be into knitting, so I would go to Michael's for all my knitting supplies (yarn, needles, etc). However, knitting was a rather expensive and meticulous hobby, so I decided to take up card-making instead. There's a wide variety of card paper and blank cards & envelopes. Also, there are those cute stickers for cards though they are quite expensive. In fact, a lot of stuff here is pretty expensive, but there's a sales section (though it's mostly old holiday stuff). Though I've actually never attended, I hear they have these cute arts and crafts classes for kids and adults on random days of the week. Pros: lots of selection Cons: pretty pricey more

I love this store! It's awesome & HUGE. The lines are generally long, but I love the fact that they teach classes there. You can learn how to make your own jewelry and whatnot. I find some of their items a bit pricey though, but sometimes they have really great sales. more

Ok..they have alot of supplies but their service is bad. I tried to buy some paint markers for a project show them my school i.d. which shows that im 19 and my visa also has a picture. THey said i needed a california i.d. i understand if im buying cigs but these are MARKERS!!!! Drugs are easier to get then these stupid paint markers for that i hate michaels and that lady gave me the worst service ever they need to lay back on their 18 policy. more

I really like this Michaels store. It's fairly big, clean, and is well-stocked. I come here often for my arts & crafts supplies. You usually can find a 40% off coupon in the Sunday papers, good for one item. more
