Very professional, friendly, and courteous. Also likes to talk about his experience. Dr. Bold was patient and helped me get just the right contacts (prescription and fitting comfort) I needed. It was nice to be able to see Dr. Bold pay close attention to what I said and value my time even after multiple checkups. He also got me glasses which together with the contacts felt better than I had ever imagined possible. It felt like I had a sixth sense by the time I put on the new glasses. Office is also clean, cozy, and well-furnished. more

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bold and staff. My son had been misdiagnosed for years and was having difficulty seeing without squinting. We were told time and time again, by other doctors, that all was okay, when in fact it wasn't! Dr. Bold knew right away what was wrong and with the proper prescription, my son can see without squinting or headaches. I only trust my eyes and my family's eyes to one doctor - Dr. Michael Bold! more

I have now moved to 29 Palms in California. A good three hour drive from Dr Bold. I have a friend who has just moved here from Arkansas and she needs new glasses. I have already booked her an appointment with Dr Bold. Its a long trip but the quality of service, the products and the friendliness are so worth the travel time. To address some other reviews. This is a quality small business. It is not a multinational discount chain. These are your eyes and are beyond important to me. This is someone I know gets it right and offers me the best product available. They have always given me the best deal and treated me like an old friend. This is why I go there more

I've always been really iffy with going to the eye doctor as I usually find the procedures really invasive. Dr. Bold, is very genuine, kind, polite and non-invasive as you can get with an eye exam. Someone I definitely recommend, knows what they're talking about and make sure you get what you need and not try to sell you something you don't. more

Dr Bold IS awesome. He saved me. My eyes were really hurting me and much as i hated it I finally had to do something about it. Based on my friend's recommendation, I chose to drive down to La PAlma from LA to see Dr Bold. I have since moved to Palm Springs and again travelled to see him. He and his staff treated me so well and made the whole experience fun. I find some of the other reviews interesting. I have worked in retail for over 20 years and there are just some people you can't please. So there are many options. We each need to find who is right for us. But i have seen dealings with patients that would try a saint and only seen patience and caring and them going out of their way for people on 4 occasions. Will continue to see Dr Bold no matter where i live more

these guys are just so good! Dr. Bold is the sweetest eye doctor I've ever met and he really wanted to be sure I was taken care of. He did a good eye test and he told me what was going on with my vision. He told me things abut my heath he could see from my eyes too! It was so good and comforting to know I was in good hands for this. The office people showed me the frames and contacts available and I chose some that were within my budge and that I love. Good prices and great service. it was a perfect eye doctor visit for me. more

Dr. Bold? As far as Optometrists go, there is none finer than this man, Dr. Michael Bold. I was so impressed with how cool he is and genuine with everyone. He makes you feel like he's been your doctor for years. When I moved here I was worried about finding a good eye doc but after a not-so-good chain store connection, I heard about Dr. Bold. Every good thing I heard was true. Great doctor, really nice and I am very happy with my new contacts. They were very up on what's out there in the marketplace so I fund the choices that I wanted and at the right price. more

They made it easy to set my appointment and I wasn't kept waiting when I arrived. I have a hectic schedule and they made my appointment a pleasure. more

I came into Dr. Bolds office after my insurance did not cover my old optometrist whom I really liked. I had a few to choose from in the area but I am so glad I hit the right spot.\r \r When I entered the office the two people working the office greeted me with big smiles. Then we thought I might have an insurance problem and Irene from Dr. Bolds office actually took the time to call my insurance to clear my exam which was listed as too soon but I needed it for health reasons. Usually I would have to do the leg work and re-schedule. They did it for me so I could keep the appointment right then and there. I and my friend with me were so impressed.\r \r I had to have a special needs eye health exam for medication I am on. Dr. Bold did his exam and decided to not only double check but triple check using 3 different exam systems to make sure I was covered and not getting the damaging black spots in my cornea. After making sure he gave me the all clear. He also found something out that made perfect sense to me but no other optometrist had seen. I was indeed bifocal and needed reading glasses. I was in denial but it was so obvious and no he wasn't selling me what I didn't need because I brought it up to HIM when I noticed I could see clearer close up without my distant glasses on. I have never in my life so confidant about an eye exam and had someone take that much time for me.\r \r Dr. Bold was so kind and even shared a personal story with me. He was so warm and you could tell he really cared about the job.\r \r I never thought I'd say this but I'll take my dreaded eye air puff and dilation from them anytime! That and I found gorgeous frames!! more
