Thank you for reading this. I must say that I read all the reviews before I chose to make the call and get an appointment for a hair cut. Also one of the reason is that I hear their ad on majic every morning on my way to work. Well, I made that call and explained to the receptionist what I was seeking in a stylist, she recommened Lana.. Well, I agreed, with hesitation, went to the appointment chatted with Lana about what I wanted and what my problems were with my hair and we decided on a hair cut and style for me. Let me say, the style and cut is one of the best hair cuts that I have ever had. After washing my hair it just goes into the style, it takes very little styling on my part. So I would highly recommend Lana. She is great and now she has a new and very satisified client. Again, thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you also have a great experience. I was browsing and read a mail regarding Lana at the Salon that is just untrue. As a loyal (10 years) client of Lana's I feel I must defend my hairdresser - (great ones are so hard to find).\r \r As I mentioned, I have been going to Lana for over 10 years - I followed her from the ""old salon"" to Michael Angelo's - I would follow her if she moved again. In the past 10 years I have had excellent experiences every time I have gone to see Lana. When I leave the salon I always feel beautiful. She knows what the color trends are and I always leave it up to her how to do my hair. I'm always VERY SATISFIED with the results.\r \r Michael Angelos has a wonderful atmosphere, very clean and has already been updated in the short time it has been opened. The staff is friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. Great place with a great location. I have lived in Michigan most of my life, i lived in Germany for 3 years and i have lived in Kansas for 2 years. My hair was mediocre, not great at all. When i moved back to Michigan, i moved into the metro detroit area. well i need a hairdresser so i went looking and out of all the salons i have been too i picked Michael Angelos because they are so friendly and nice and all the staff is professional. i picked Lana as my hairdresser because she was awesome. she gave me an awesome color and an awesome haircut. It turned out so great that i recommended her to all my friends that now go to her and they ALL love their hair. She is a wonderful hairdresser and i couldnt imagine my life without her in it. more

Loved Michael Angelo salon. Lana, my hairdresser, talked me into going red. She is the Color Queen. I get compliments, minimally 2 times a week. I love it. I've finally started telling everyone it is natural because I got tired of explaining. Being a blond, I would have never thought to go red without her advice. She is awesome. \r \r I read earlier someone complaining about a haircut from Lana - I've been going to her for over 3 years and I have NEVER had a bad cut. One of the best salons in downtown Royal Oak. The owner is cool. Please , PLEASE don't ever go to Lana. She's got to be the worst hair dresser in Royal Oak. Fortunately, the owner, Michael, tried to fix her awful, awful mistakes the best he could. But it's one of those haircuts you won't forget for at least two months, but probably forever. A friend recommended this salon and I found it to be very nice inside. Clean equipment, nice location, great service, evening appointments etc. Pros: Great haircut Cons: Metered parking only, traffic in Royal Oak can be a pain sometimes more
