What a gem in a quaint part of town. Come in for lunch on the outdoor patio, come back for dinner and drinks! A great place to meet friends and eat the night away. The chef makes an incredible butternut squash ravioli that still tastes great at the Palatine Street Fest where the stand is always overflowing with great choices. The western burbs are blessed with fine upscale Italian eateries and Mia Cuchina is no exception to this. Tasty and creative traditional pasta dishes as well as fresh seafood will please even the most seasoned diner. Recently they have started offering a featured wine and the two occasions that I have tried the featured wine it has been outstanding. But do save room for dessert as it is truly worth waiting for! Reservations are suggested because they always have more customers than tables on the weekend. On nice days they open up the patio for great al fresco dining. I'd suggest this restaraunt for special occasions or if you want to impress a special person. Service is very good and the servers are very polite and almost Radar-like in anticipating your needs. Who would have thought in the small little downtown of Palatine that you would find such a nice resturant. From the outside you would not expect what is waiting within for you. You enter a very comfortable atmosphere that you immediately think that maybe I should have brought more money. After finishing your delicious appetizer you expect a good entree and it delivers. The wait staff is more than pleasant and very timely. The end result is a bill that is cheaper than you thought and a meal that sits in your stomach prompting a smile to your face with a sigh of gratification. try it!! more
