Just OK 5/22/2010

Be warned: Mezza's website is completely out of date -- prices are incorrect and beverage offerings on the menu are totally different from the website. I find this tremendously annoying and, unfortunately, very common these days. But beyond that, the food is just OK, certainly nothing to rave about especially at $7.00 per small plate (yes, it seems reasonable but the portions really are tiny and those $7 plates add up pretty quickly) Ambience is OK, but again absolutely nothing special. I probably won't be back. Pros: Small dishes allow you to control consumption Cons: Overpriced; web site needs to be updated more

Changed the way I feel about cauliflower 6/10/2007

It's tapas (primarily?), but somehow they manage not to be irritating about it. Just good food, all around.... more

Great food at a great price 6/3/2007

As someone who comes from the middle east region I can safely say that Mezza's food is just perfect and always brings back memories of home! All the dishes Ive had so far have been tasty and nicely presented. The service is outstanding - always friendly & helpful. We'll be back many more times ! Pros: Good food, easy parking, friendly personal service more

Authentic cuisine that won't break the bank 2/24/2007

Great, authentic food and good atmosphere. Whenever I'm spending an evening in the Decatur area this place is always a destination. I would say get reservations because it's packed on a weekend night. They also just opened a new lounge next door that serves the same foods. Definitely try the Lebanese wine selection, which is a nice touch and of good quality. - Ben Pros: quality, quality food and on-the-ball service Cons: Can get crowded fri night, parking is an issue more

Great tapas style restaurant 11/21/2006

We had a great experience at Mezza. Lots and lots of small plates to choose from and good Lebanese wine too. Try a glass of the Chateau Musar Hocher or the Chateau Ksara if you like red wines. This is a great little restuarant and all of the dishes (we tried 9) were very tastey (the Baklawa is terrific). A big group would do well here, and the price is right. Pros: choices, Lebabnese wine, price more

good stuff, very enjoyable. 11/18/2006

The choices of small plates vary from good to excellent, but I've never been disappointed, as tastes vary. Always impresses guests as a nice but not stuffy place, good prices and the mezza configuration makes it easy to eat just enough and not overstuff yourself.\r Do save room for dessert! more

Not as good as I was told 5/15/2006

Food is ok. I have had much better, fresher Mediterranean food.Too bland Pros: price Cons: food more

A fun place 4/21/2006

Mezza is a charming little restaurant, though a bit out of the way. A great place to go with friends the share a bottle of wine and sample a variety of Lebanese food. There aren't a lot of restaurants still run by an extended family, as is Mezza. They do a great job making you feel at home and serving up great food. The wine list is surprisingly good. Pros: food, wine, service Cons: location more

An Experience To Savor... 9/8/2005

My partner and I have brought several friends to Mezza. Only once was the service annoying, but no one is perfect. :-) The food each and everytime is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the ""group"" menu. For roughly $17 or so dollars per person. (4 max) You can select three main courses, two salads/appetizers, two meats, and something else. In most cases ordering the tapas is the hardest part of the meal. The food is truly authenticate....we actually plan on going there again tonight! :-) more

Great Food 11/3/2003

My husband and I are regular customers, we have spent at Mezza many of our special dates because we love the food, ambiance and even the prices. I also had my ""bridal luncheon"" at Mezza and the experience was great, they had the tables and food ready before we got there and all the guests were very satisfy with the food, decor and service. Pros: Lebanese Wine, Great Food, Nice music more

Great Food!!!! 9/19/2002

Being Lebanese I have to say that the food here is just like my grandmother's (some of it better). I have enjoyed multiple visits, and my husband can't get enough of the food. The menu is large and there are a wide variety of options. Everything we have tried has been excellent. When family come to visit this is our favorite place to go. Pros: menu, quality of food, location Cons: service more

Great lunch spot 8/2/2002

I'd noticed this place many times but never made the effort to stop in. I was in the immediate vicinity and decided to appease my hunger in what turned out to be an inexpensive and highly enjoyable way. I chose a hummus and grape leaf wrap, a potentially odd-sounding combination that turned out to be highly flavorable and immensely satisfying. I added a side salad, which rivaled the main course for satisfaction. I ended up with more food than I could eat for under $6. Service was quick, but the waiter was not very attentive. I had to summon someone else to bring basic items like water and the check, while the waiter chatted away with another employee at the bar. Pros: Reasonable prices, Easy parking, Quick lunch Cons: Lackluster service more
