My girlfriend drugged me here (I don't care for Greek food) and I had the Lemon Chicken soup. WOW! Now, we go back just for it. Nice Greak salad and warm pita and fresh-made hummas. more

My mom and I had lunch here last Saturday. The waiter was a delight and very knowledgable of the menu. We were served warm pita slices with fresh made hummus. It was so good I almost ate the whole basket/bowl of hummus myself! My mom ordered the salmon salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly and it was a decent sized piece of fish. I had the veggie pita which was so flavorful! It has roasted zucchini, eggplant, peppers, onions, hummus, and a very mild cheese. I will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu!!! more

Greek food is one of our favorites. We even went to Greece just for the food....only kidding! I will tell you that the food at Mezes transports me to Greece (Hellas). We love lamb and they make is sooooo good. We go to Mezes often. The food and the service are great. Oh my god the desserts...made for Zeus, one of the best baklavas this side of the Atlantic! Their appetizers (grilled octopus) awesome! Also, try ANYTHING....its all sooooo good - FOOD OF THE GODS (??at??f? t?? ?e??)... see, the experience even taughtme how to write in Greek. (used a translator) more

My family and I go quite often. You can't go wrong with any of their appetizers. The grilled octupus is outstanding! The souvlaki is a must. I love the Yogurt covered in natural honey as well. And of course, a great selection of Greek wines. We like to order 4 or 5 appetizers and share it. You will love it too! more

Moderately sized (20 tables) place in a strip mall (aren't they all in PP?). Went late Saturday on Memorial Day weekend. Had stuffed grape leaves and Spanakopita for appetizers. Both excellent. Mousaka and Shrimp Mythos for main course. Shrimp was a bit salty but that could be expected with the feta and calamata olives in this dish. Otherwise delicious. Mousaka was good. Baklava for dessert was large and thick. Not like your usual bakery baklava. A bit too heavy on the brown sugar and cinnamon for my taste but you may like it this way.\r \r We will certainly make a repeat visit to this restaurant. more

My wife and I ate at Mezes last night and we were disappointed!!! The food was mediocre and the service was painfully slow, on a busy night I can understand but this was Monday and we were the one of two tables in the whole restaurant. My biggest complaint, which seems to be a problem with this restaurant based on some other reviews, was the early bird (sunset) special.\r We did not go for the special, because we did not know they had one, we just wanted to have an early dinner. We ordered off the regular menu after the waitress told us about the blackboard specials leaving out the fact they have a sunset menu before 6:00 and we were seated a little after 5:30. We ordered our meal and it was okay but not spectacular, the hummus was good and my wife enjoyed the mussaka. We paid our bill and left, then I decided to check the menu in the window to see if they had an octopus dish that I like, there I saw the "sunset menu" so I went in and asked the waitress why it was not in our menus? She said it was certainly in there so she showed us and it was indeed in the menu...on the back of the last page! I said why didn't you inform us of the special, and she said I should look through the entire menu. She also said nobody has ever approached her for something like this before. Not surprising since the restaurant seems to be empty at this time. The "manager" came over and was no help, basically I explained the situation and he said the he would talk to the waitresses then said but the waitress "do not mention the specials" so what is he going to talk to them about? It seems like this is their policy. We left without kind of compensation, or closure, I told him we will not be back! I would advise not to go there and if you want good Greek food I would recommend Greek Islands Taverna. more

Best Greek in Pines. Superb appetizers, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere (better than Opa...and quieter :) Try the hummus, skirt steak, and gyros. more

Great authentic Greek food at a great price. Generous portions. Grilled lamb kabob was cooked perfect, souvlaki was very tasty, great seasoning to the pork. Great attentive wait staff. You can't go wrong here unless you want to dance on tables and break plates! more
