As far as Mexican restaurants go, many of the dishes are somewhat above average--but a few dishes are standouts in the ""Bay Area Mexican dining"" category. I truly enjoy myself at Mexquite. This place is more 'restaurant' than 'tequila lounge' (the two terms they use to describe themselves), but if you want an experience that blends good food with 'some' 'lounge' feel (which in my opinion makes for the best *dining* experience anyhow), this is a great place to go. The tequila and drinks selection is excellent, and they will readily provide you with shots of high-quality tequila at good prices. My favorite 'flight' would be milagro blanco, Hacienda de los Diaz reposado, and 7 leguas or Tesoro anejo.
