The Mexican Shop has a large selection of Mexican silver jewelry and stones and a smaller selection of clothing and accessories. I often find distinctive and reasonable priced necklaces and earrings. For me the earrings are the biggest draw. There are two BIG things that prevent me from shopping there more often; the store has really limited hours (open until six during the week and closed during winter months) and the staff is unfriendly . On several occassions I've had to interupt the staff to assist me - they were talking to each other and it was obvious by the rolloing of the eyes that I had bothered them. Needless to say on those days they didnt' get my business. more

You get what you pay for! 8/27/2005

The Mexican Shop is a very cute neighborhood store. My biggest qualm with the store is their hours. They are literally only open until 6PM on weekday. I am not sure who patronizes this store during the week. Saturdays are absolutely crazy. Expect to wait 30 minutes for a dressing room and don't expect to try on that cute jacket in front of a mirror in the store...it is not allowed. They have an amazing selection of jewerly. Keep in mind that the quality is what you pay for. more

Funky Clothes and Mexican Goods 8/18/2005

The Mexican Shop has been around awhile, and there's a reason. The owners, who make yearly trips to Mexico to bring back the treasures, know their customers. Find funky youthful women's clothing, silver jewelry, and all sorts of quirky Mexican crafts. This is a great place to rekindle the boho look. more

Fun Clothing Boutique 8/12/2005

This is a nice place to shop if your budget is a bit small and you're looking for something fun to wear. They've got women's clothes, jewelry, purses, and accessories. The selection of accessories is pretty large, and most of their stuff is kinda trendy. I'd say if you ranged between the high school to later 20's you'd enjoy this shop. more

Eccletic clothing and gifts 7/25/2005

Ecclectic clothing, jewlery and gifts in this local spot. One-of-a-kind items you won't likely see anywhere else. Shop owners close several months in the winter to go in search of unique global wares, so be forewarned and call ahead. Selection is a bit limited; you might spot a beautiful item but not in your size. But prices are good and sales have terrific bargains. Selction of jewelry is extensive, and in a wide range of prices. more
