Healthy? I don't think so. But everything is really cheap, filling, and delicious. I really love their soups: cocido with chunks of beef, menudo, or chicken with cilantro and avocado. The chimis and burritos are macho sized. Try the birria or the avodaba, and obviously, the carne asada. On weekend mornings, they grill up huge batches of carne asada and it is tempting to try steak and eggs then, but you would miss out on really good huevos rancheros. They don't skimp on portions. Help yourself to green or red salsa and pickled or roasted or fresh jalapenos, and then some citrus wedges at the bar. Always a bit of a line for takeout. Few seats. Parking is limited in the strip mall. For about $12, the two of us were pleasantly stuffed.
Pros: Great prices, honest food, great soups and burritos.
Cons: Limited menu, seating, and parking.
