This is the best authentic Mexican restaurant around. Clean and friendly environment, good service, and always packed on the weekend so get there early! more

Historical Bakersfield Restaurant 3/18/2008

Mexicali is truly one of Bakersfield's treasures. They have the best cooking staff especially at this location. I have been taking my family here for years and their head cook, Leonore will always make my favorite, even though its not on the menu. That is the signature service that has kept my family coming back year after year. My only complaint this that their portion sizes are big for the prices they charge. more
