Metropolitan Patrol Inc

I started with Metropolitan in the sping of 2003, then left later that year, everything was good till they made those of us that were working in gas stations stop carrying our firearms due to insurance reasons, I refused to work like that, so I left. I returned in july of 2005, everything seemed to be okay at first, but slowly started to go downhill when Darren Lewis decided to sell the company to John Lauber. When I came back to the company I found out that Johnetta Brackman had been promoted to Captain and was forcing out other supervisors that she felt threatened by, two former captains were now Sgt's that had extensive law enforcement backgrounds. After being back for 5 months, myself and several other officers and supervisors left the company. I recently heard that the company went out of business, all I can is that it's about time, I have also heard that Johnetta Brackman is trying to open her own security company. Metropolitan Patrol used to be the best private security company in the Kansas City Metro area and I used to be proud to say that I worked there, but now I am embarrassed to even put it on a job application. more

I worked for them long ago,I didn't like what I seen and quit them,they gave me the impression they thought they were the police and could get away with anything. more

this company does not treat the employees with respect and kindness. they give them checks that bounce, that can not clear for more than just a few days. with no regard to the family that the employees have to take care of. the clients pay the company, yet the employees don't get paid. there are no explanations, no one answers the phone and no one knows anything. is this how they would like to be treated? what would they do if they did not get paid or even wrote off the schedule? some of the employees are still owed money that they will never see. what is up with that? more

HALF OF THE METROPOLITAN SUPERVISOR STAFF HAVE BEEN PUT ON PROBATION WITH THE BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS BEFORE AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER.THEY TREAT THIER EMPLOYESS LIKE A NUMBER.THEY GO THROUGH EMPLOYEES ALL THE TIME.AT LEAST WHEN DARREN OWNED THE BUSINESS, HE HAD FULLY MARKED CARS, NONE OF WHICH THEY HAVE NOW.THE CARS NOW YOU CAN HARDLY SEE THE GRAPHICS, THEY ARE FOLLOWING PEOPLE AT RANDOM AND IMPERSONATING POLICE, &ALSO ARE RUNNING RED AND BLUE LIGHTS ON THE STREET AND CHASING PEOPLE OFF PROPERTY. THIS IS ILLLEGAL . THEY ARE ON MY VIDEOS SEARCHING THROUGH PEOPLES PERSONAL CARS, HARRASSING PEOPLE ON PROPERTY,RARELY SHOWING UP FOR PATROLS ON PROPERTY&ONLY PATROLLED 1 OR 2 TIMES ALL NIGHT LONG. MY COMPLEX MAY NOT EVEN SEE A PATROL UNTIL THE WEEKEND. MOST OF THE TIME NEW OFFICERS ARE PUT ON PROPERTY W/ZERO TRAINING.THIS COULD PROVE A DANGER TO PEOPLE OR THE OFFICER IF A BAD SITUATION ARISES. Metropolitan Patrol was award 2008's best security company award by us local businesses. This company is extremely proactive and very professional. If you want a security company that is there when you need them they are it. Trained, dedicated, and caring security officers that will ensure your safety as well as your property's well being. more

Metropolitan patrol is by far the worst security company that i have ever had to deal with. They constantly are harassing residence at my apt complex. I have also received a rather large amount of complaints as of recently that the officers are very rude and treat residence getting out of there car and going inside to their apt. like escaped convicts. Also one of the officers came to me and asked for and application to apply for a grounds keeper position because his check bounced. If checks are bouncing then it sound to me like they do not hold there word that they claim on there web site. I've recently switched security companies and the residents do nothing but give me compliments on the new security. Since the switch we have stopped car break-ins and narcotics activity. I would defiantly recommend that anyone who employs Metropolitan Patrol get a new security company. Cons: to many to list more

This company has provided the BEST security I have ever seen. Its almost like having your own police department. Very very very fast response times. They can even respond to your Alarm System's alarms. Its great. Very highly recommended. And the Officer's are trained by the company itself...so that all of the Officer's operate in the same manner. THEY EVEN HAVE A DISPATCH COMMUNICATIONS CENTER with a Phone number to call!!! IT IS AWESOME! If you need any type of security, this company is the best one to choose.!!!!! Pros: Fast Response time, Very courteous and respectful. Operate like a Police Department! Cons: I cant think of any. more

This company is the BEST. They are very Proactive. They work along side with the Police Department. They have an outstanding relationship with the KCMO Police Department. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!! Pros: they conduct vehicle stops and vehicle checks, pedestrian checks...and they respond to all calls that the KCPD respond to. And their response time is AWESOME!!!! Cons: DONT HAVE ANY!!! more
