Metropolitan Hospice

Staff must have just scraped through what medical training they got. I have to agree they over medicate and seem to practice premature death, better known as genocide. Staff was slow and lethargic. This was my first experience with a hospice and my last. I would never recommend this facility to anyone not even an animal of lower order. more

Had an AWFUL experience with this company. My mom lives in an assisted living facility and they came to give her care at her place. They OVERSEDATED her and did not listen to the family's concerns. My mom had dementia and we asked them NOT to mention to her that they were with hospice because we were afraid that it would scare her needlessly and she would forget and then remember again when she saw them. It would be cruel. well, they ignored our requests and walked into her room with signs they posted, namebadges stating who they were, even gave her their business cards!! Mom was hysterical and it took us everything we had to calm her. They were negligent in that. They should not be trusted. Try Healthfield instead, they took care of my dad when he was ill in 2006 and we've switched to same for our mom. If I could have rated NO STARS, I would have. :( Pros: None that I can think of Cons: Employees don't listen to your concerns more

The people at Metropolitan are nice and lull you but there is very little support. The pharmacy and medical equipment people they use are located in Conyers and are always the next day. A person who is dying might not have a NEXT day. Never saw any volunteers, no one offered to stay awhile, and they were always one step behind. I have heard wonderful things about hospice, however, I would not recommend this one. Pros: The 3 people that I met were nice. Cons: Always a step behind!! Cant have that when someone is dying. more
