Excellent service & price. 5/14/2009

First and foremost: Have good knowledge in regards to basic electronics and vintage tube/analog gear. After I brought in my rare vintage ""Fisher 500-C"" receiver to Metro TV, had a nice knowledgeable conversation with the owner of this fine repair place. Al has been around for many years and well knows what he's talking about. His down payment price (which is included with the final repair if one decides to have it done there) was more than fair, compared to all other places around. His turnaround time was incredible, as well as the final price for the repair. The previous person (lawsonmt) that left a feedback on 7-11-08 sounds like a typical ""in a hurry"" person from California, which has no clue that some things may take a tad longer to have done right the first time. Especially electronic equipment. So anyone that reads his review should simply ""disregard his rude comments and feedback."" Metro TV is ""thee only place"" I'll ever have all my audio equipment repaired at, bar none. I'm very grateful to have found Metro TV and give this business ""5 Stars all the way."" Highest regards, DL Pros: Well experienced more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 7/11/2008

My note to them says it all. I am disgusted with these people. 7/11/08\r \r Dear Metro TV\r \r After waiting for over an hour past the stated service appointment time I was shocked that you were completely unwilling to negotiate a fair compromise with respect to the cost of the service call to A-have some accountability for a mismanaged customer engagement and B-appease a frustrated customer.\r To recap \r I received a pre-appointment call/message from your service guy?he left me a message on my cell phone asking me to call one of two numbers. The first was busy (I think this was the serviceman?s cell phone) but I tried it several times. When that didn?t work I called the other number and I talked to Al. He said the service guy was on his way and I confirmed that I would be home to greet him. About 45 minutes later I called and talked to Al again, who forget initially that he talked to me, and he said that the service guy never heard from me, and that he called a couple times (maybe he did, I don't know and I am not sure why it mattered because I already confirmed I was at home waiting for him with Al) so he went on another call. Al said there must have been a miscommunication. Having burned more than an hour out of my day I asked for a discount on the service call. He said ?what, do you want it for free?? and I said no?I am not a total jerk?.but I did want a discount for wasting an hour of my time. I suggested half off?I got no real affirmative response or counter offer. Al said he had to make a call and all but hung up on me. \r Minutes later I got a call back saying that the service guy didn?t want to come ?because I wouldn?t be happy with his service?. That makes a lot of sense right? I tried talking with them and only got hung up on multiple times. So now instead of working with me and getting a satisfied customer you folks have wasted my afternoon and my TV is still broken. \r \r Cons: Unprofessional and rude idiots more
