Beautiful but... 3/5/2006

I stayed at the Hotel Metro this summer as part of a mini getaway. The Hotel Metro is beautiful, conviently located and the rooms are amazing- complete with whirlpool bath and exquisite beds. However, we didn't get much rest during our stay. The street below our room seemed to be on the route to Water Street, and therefore college kid party central. Request a room off the street if you stay, and your trip will be more enjoyable- otherwise if you don't want to be kept away by street noise stay elsewhere. more

Old world charm at a good price 8/15/2005

The Hotel Metro is a rebuilt old Milwaukee motel with the history built right in. The service is wonderful, the bar is quite friendly. The rooms, while a bit unusual, are very nice, clean and comfortable. The conference facilities are some of the best. The Hotel Metro is a nice place to stay in downtown Milwaukee. more

A Night Away 7/30/2005

Looking for a getaway without getting away? Hotel Metro is a great stop. With a fabulous wine bar and delicious food at their restaurant, you can have a luxurious getaway without leaving the city. Some rooms are equipped with a spa-like atmosphere. The showers are huge and there is a two person whirlpool right in-room. Luxurious? You bet. A budget-breaker? No way. Since it's renovation, the hotel now boasts Kohler amenities. For a quick peek, head into the lobby restroom.... it's beautiful. Great staff. Excellent amenities. The heart of the city. more
