Best

She is an excellent Doctor! No doubt. I've never had such care in an eye exam before. She really cares and takes the time to explain everything. I completely trust her expertise. ...

Worst

This place is overpriced for frames and everything, as many reviewers noted. It is more like a boutique than a place to get actual optical care. The emphasis on selling designer...

Overpriced - poor handling of insurance. 2/6/2009

Overpriced - especially when they told me I was covered under my insurance and then after the appointment I was billed with a note stating they were mistaken about my coverage. I also would have liked less technology and more experience. more

Waste of time and money. 2/6/2009

I heard the advertisements for Metro Eye on the radio after moving to the area. I don't have a lot of spare time so I decided to make an appointment because I figured that a small shop like metro eye, they would really take care of me. I though that even more after I saw the prices that they charged. Anyway, the appointment went fine except it felt like the doctor had somewhere better to be so she rushed me through the exam. I got to the counter and I told them that I wanted to get my glasses made somewhere else (Sam's Club, which was fantastic) and they looked at me like I was crazy. After submitting the presciption picking up some delicious hummus and potato chips I went home and waited only 5 days for the lenses to be ground. Pros: Good location Nice building Cons: unresponsive to problems, quick to blame others, lack of Dr. patient time more

Save-the-day eyeglasses service! 11/21/2008

Dr. Jankowski's staff saved the day for me. Less than an hour before a big interview, my two year old eyeglass frames had a screw fall out, and out popped one of the lenses. Couldn't find that little fastener anywhere. And I am a guy who NEEDS glasses. Fortunately, when I dashed into Metro Eye, the staff responded with aplomb. In minutes, they fashioned a temporary fix for the frame that would do nicely till I could come back and get the correct size fastener ordered. Made it to my interview on time and looked like nothing ever went wrong. more

Great 4/15/2008

I've been to a number of eye doctors over the past few years and Dr. Amy Jankowski is really great. I've never felt as through my visits were rushed through, she has always thoroughly answered all of my questions, and I've never had to wait long after arriving to be seen. The office appears to use very up to date technology and is very clean. The frames they offer onsite are a bit expensive, but they are very attractive & stylish. I haven?t seen anyone with the same glasses that I have. Pros: Wonderful doctor Cons: street metered parking, sometimes forced to park a couple blocks away more

Nice Ladies, Pretty Office, Crazy Expensive 9/15/2006

This was a nice office and everything but get ready to take out a second mortgage to pay for your glasses. One pair of clear and one pair of sunglasses came to well over $1000.00 for me. Wow. That didn't even include the eye exam. That being said, it was light years better than the last place that I went. Pros: Nice office and location Cons: Expensive beyond belief more
