Some Pro & Cons The Pros--- Lots of tables & BBQ Grills all over Nice fishing area Has a bathhouse Can park your car nearby & walk to the park without driving Metro police present everywhere nice small museum Nice warnings for deep water The Cons--- there seems to be some homeless people that live on the beach need to know where the fishing areas area dead fish & seaweed float always all over cover charge to park your car the pool has a $3 cover charge too much Bird & duck feces it seems beach water smells bad No Lifeguard overall a nice place but not great...nice for homeless people for the summer...bottles everywhere, bathhouse is opened, food everywhere for those who desire Pros: BATHHOUSE, TABLES, BBQ, FISH AREA Cons: BEACH WATER SMELLS, COVER FOR PARKING, more

I'll agree that the actual park isn't the greatest in the world, nor is it ""free"" However, if you take advantage of the fabulous trail down Metro Parkway to walk, bike, or rollerblade into the park- It is indeed free. [And I like the path better than the park anyway!] more

This isn't FREE! It's a Metropark - that costs money to get in there. If you play golf, that's an EXTRA cost! more
