I can't say enough great things about Metcalf South Animal Hospital! Dr. Truman is simply the BEST! I recommend her to people all the time. She is very knowledgeable about any issue that matters regarding my dogs. She knows: the importance of quality food, which meds work best, alternatives to meds, etc. She gives 3 yr. Rabies & DHP vaccines as opposed to 1 yr. which I greatly appreciate not only due to the cost factor but more importantly, because giving a Rabies vaccine every year is harmful to your dog. She helped me cure my dog, Mickey, of separation anxiety. I went to several vets before her and they refused to issue him the meds he needed for it. She not only issued the meds but gave me a training booklet with them to help him be completely cured. He only needed to be on the meds a few months before being cured- this was a life saver! A few yrs later he injured himself & I was very concerned that it was serious. She recommend an in-house chiropractor and he was back to his playfu more

Make sure you are told exactly how much services will be before you leave your animal. Unexpected services were posted to final bill without previous authorization from client. A rather cavalier attitude was taken with me by the vet when told I was unhappy. more

We have been taking our three dogs here for about 2 years. We're very happy with Dr. Truman. She is honest and up front about everything. Very holistic too. She offers acupuncture for dogs and it really helped my dog heal from a liver problem. She advocates healthy dog food and really has the animals best interest in mind! more

We take our two cats to Dr. Truman. She is very patient with my one cat who turns psycho in vet offices. I appreciate that she is one of the few vets in the area who does vaccines on a three-year schedule, as recommended by the veterinary association, and not yearly. more

I love this place. Told me more about my breed than anyone before. Grooming is top of the line, let me know that my dog had a tick on her tail (full of fur, hard to see) when I picked her up. more

Dr. Truman is by far one of the most compassionate people whom we have ever met. She loves what she does and it really shows in the outstanding care she provides to her clients. I would recommend her to anyone who has an animal that is part of their family. You will never be disappointed. more

Although I had to go to this place under a sad circumstances, I still recommend this facility to anyone. It was on a weekend and our normal animal clinic was not open and our dog was dying. So, we took Champ there. Of course, we were all upset, they were so kind and gentile to us and to Champ. They allowed us all the time in the world to say good bye to Champ. Afterwards, they sent us a plant and a card telling us how sorry they were for our loss. They were so nice to us. more
