I posted this on Yelp, too. I think it's important that people hear about the bad experience I had so they don't fall victim to the same mistakes I made.\r

Unfortunately, I went against my instincts when I took my brand new comforter to Metairie Cleaners. My roomie had a bunch of sweaters ruined by them last season, but I went anyway because they were close to where I lived. When I got my comforter back, it smelled like fish and the detailing had been completely dissolved. There was also a tear in one of the corners.\r

The manager wasn't there at the time, so they took down my information and told me that she'd call. Her name is Brenda. She finally called early afternoon the next day and was very defensive on the phone.\r

She lectured me about the fact that she'd been in the dry cleaning business for 20 years and she knew that my comforter wasn't their fault. She told me, reluctantly, that they'd send it away for analysis in new Jersey but that it would tie up my comforter for three weeks.\r

Here it is, two months later and still nothing.\r

I would seriously reconsider using Metairie Cleaners for your dry cleaning needs. They seem to be lacking on the professionalism and customer service fronts.
Pros: Close proximity to my residence
Cons: Poor customer service, poor professionalism, poor service, overpriced, bad parking, awkward location
