We used this Funeral Home for my Dad. The owner came to pick my Dad up from the Nursing home when he passed away. She was very professional. She gave us all the time in the world with him. She did not rush us. She was there till 1:30 in the morning. The staff at the funeral home were very professional and caring during the planning of the funeral. They did great in preparing my Dad for the viewing and funeral. My Dad looked so much younger. They really took the time to get him ready. He had went down so much during his last days. They were very caring during our loss. They stayed at the graveyard till Dad's grave was taken care of. The gentlemen even took their coats and ties off and helped with the closing of the grave. The funeral home and chapel were immaculate in condition! If I lived closer this would be the funeral home that I would use. I have attended numerous funeral services at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home and all of my experiences have been wonderful. The staff was extremely caring, curtious, and helpful. Not only did they accomadate a large crowd, but they also provided exceptional professional services. The chapel, lobby, breakroom, and bathrooms were very clean and well kept. I have never seen anything ""dirty"" or ""broken"" in all my years of attending services at Messmer Goodwin. I am a long time citizen of this area and therefore have attended countless services there. Messmer Goodwin is dedicated to personal and professional service and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a respectful, professional funeral service. Their prices are also very competitive. Mrs. Ferguson and her excellent staff are the most warm and welcoming at the time of need. She herself has been a pillar of the Northern Jeffeson County Community for years and is well respected. Unauthorized wording in obituary. Director was rude to family concerning protocol. Funeral Home ignored wishes of the family concerning dates and times for ceremony. Chapel was dirty, light fixtures were broken, drapes were old, faded.
