Last week I went in to MVG to purchase some Water Lettuce for my pond. The saleswoman hand picked 6 bunches (each with 4-5 rosettes) for me, and was careful to explain which containers to choose from and which bunches were for sale at a cost of $3.95 a bunch. Today I went back to purchase 6 more bunches. The lady at the register directed me back to where they were located and gave me two plastic bags for my selections. While I was selecting my plants a woman came back and told me that I could only select 1 rosette (1 Water Lettuce bud, hardly what one would call a bunch), and that I was not to select any bunches as I had last week. She then sent the owner back to my location. Upon his arrival he stated "I'm going to have the cashier count every one of those plants"! I explained to him that I had only chosen what had been selected for me last week by the saleswoman. He then stated "you only get one rosette", so I stated that he had just jacked the price of what I purchased last week five fold (1 bunch had 4-5 rosettes, now we were down to 1 rosette at $3.95). He then jerked the bag out of my hand and told me to get off of the property! I tried to explain to him that last week I had purchased 6 bunches, but he refused to listen to me and continued to tell me to get off of the property. This behavior by the owner was unbelievably rude, and outrageous! I have literally purchased thousands of dollars worth the plants and supplies from this company over the past few years for my Landscape Maintenance business! I have recommended MVG to hundreds of people over time. After my experience today with the owner of MVG, I will NEVER recommend them to anyone, nor will I purchase anything from them again! From this point on, I will recommend Civano.
Obviously this owner doesn't care about his customers, and this is reflected in the downward trend of his ratings as well! The best thing that can happen for MVG is for the current owner to go bankrupt, and a new owner to take over! I can only wish!
