After buying a new house and having extensive work done to the inside we hired them for a pre move in cleaning because my normal and WONDERFUL cleaning lady couldn't come before we our move in date. I wanted to have it done because I'm pregnant and didn't want to breathe in the dust and other debris from everything we had done. They used a Hoover vacuum cleaner on my BRAND NEW hardwood floors, completely scratching them in the kitchen beyond repair. The owners and branch manager have been out, apologized, took responsibility and said they would have the floors replaced for us a quickly as possible. I got a call this morning (a month later BTW) from their insurance carrier stating that they are denying the damages and claim that they were caused by installation. You mean to tell me the reputable people I'm paying to supply and install my gorgeous floors are also going to ruin them at the same time?!?! We hadn't even moved in yet, my floors were just laid and the lady from Merry Maids (Genevieve) who came out to give me the quote beforehand stood in my kitchen and commented on how gorgeous my floors were. She SAW them prior, and yet they are still claiming they were already there. I am FURIOUS! Filed the claim with the BBB and getting lawyers involved. After all that you would hope they at least did a good job cleaning? My house smelled clean, and the carpeted rooms looked vacuumed but there was still construction dust on fixtures and drawers. There wasn't even furniture in the house yet, you would think they could at least do a good job cleaning. I am devastated about my floors, and sickened with a company who can have the lack of conscience these people seem to have in going back on their word and full on denial of their misdoing. NEVER, would I recommend this company in my life. I wish no stars was an option because even one is too many.
