Don't pick these Merry Maids 11/21/2011

Just had them in to get my house ready for company and all I can say is the maids were nice but no attention to detail. Didn't do everything that was on the list and I had to point out numerous things they missed. My floors look more dull than when they started, and I'm still finding dust where they didn't move an item to clean under it. I would not recommend them. more

Good sometimes, not so good sometimes 6/13/2008

When Merry Maids sends a well-trained cleaner, you know it when you get home from work --the house smells wonderful and looks great. The problem is they very seldom send the same person twice and a poorly-trained cleaner means that you find stuff like cleaning rags left behind (I once found a we rag on top of my bedspread!), doors unlocked and things done more or less halfway. The issue they have is that the service level is inconsistent. more

Buyer Beware 6/6/2007

One of the maids broke an item but did not admit it right away. These things happen but I would have preferred that they told me. Merry Maids sent someone to make the repair and I was satisfied. I wish the cleaning was more consistent. I think that it must be difficult to keep help because in 6 months of bi-weekly cleaning I had scores of different people in my house. They were always professional and friendly but if you got the wrong person you might feel you had to clean up behind them. They are very expensive considering the job performance. I cannot recommend them. more

Although they will return on another day if you find that the service was less than satisfactory, I prefer that it be done right the first time (and I'm not that picky). They frequently ""forgot"" to dust under furniture. Several times the kitchen cabinets were not wiped down. Some rooms seemed to only get spot cleaned. If you can get one crew on a regular basis, you can let them know what you like and it's much better. However, the turnover is high and as soon as you get someone who cleans well, they quit and you start over. Very expensive for what you get. more
