I chose Merrimack County Savings Bank for a recent investment property mortgage because I prefer dealing with local businesses. I made a mistake this time. I was misled with false promises and inaccurate statements throughout the process. At the closing, not before, I was told that the equity line, that I requested and qualified for, would not be available because it was an investment property not my primary residence. This is going to cost me in the near future when I have to remortage the property to take out capital to maintain the structure, the purpose of the equity line. So, if you need sound advise and open, honest communications from a lending institution, go somewhere else.
