I did my internship there and it was a horrible experience. I didn't learn anything and they never had anything planned for me to do. I would ride with the Case Managers, as they complained about their job, to visit their consumers. It is a dangerous place to work considering you are not protected when you enter a consumer's home. One woman was raped and that led to my decision to not apply with that company. The pay is horrible for the amount of workload that is performed. The place is unprofessional with consumers walking around the company without any supervision. This company really needs to step there game up and maybe the turnover wouldn't be so high and the employees wouldn't steal from the company. Yes! One employee told me he would rig his mileage sheets so he can earn more money to take care of his daughter. Overall, the internship experience was horrible but I'm glad I did it because I learned to never work for this unprofessional, backwards, dangerous company. The only reason why I'm giving it two stars is because they are flexible with your work schedule. more

I have worked in the mental health field for five years, and the last three been intense case management services. I think their hiring process is totally wack. Not only did the person interview me in jeans and a t-shirt, they made me fill out a paper application as well (which is totally 1980s considering they already had my resume) I really do not know what they were looking for, but obviously not someone with years of experience and trainings. It was really sketchy too...with hallways of empty desks. They did not even have the decency to call me.. I got a letter in the mail like 3 weeks later. more

I worked for MHC for 2 1/2 months before deciding to hand in my resignation. Many of the consumers are disrespectful, unable to locate, and uncompliant. The caseloads are stressful and there is little to no remorse from the team members and supervisor. The employees and consumers share the same bathrooms, coffee pots, refrigerators, and car space. However, it is a great place to work if you don't mind putting the homeless, convicted felons, persons with no hygiene practices, and re-occurring A/D abusers in your vehicle and visiting them 2xs/mo. at their residence unprotected.
