I purchased two suits and two shirts from the Men's Wearhouse. They had to order one of my shirts because it was out of stock. My consultant Mr. Gittens who initially seemed apt, forgot again and again to ever order my shirt. After two months of continually calling asking about the shirt, and continually being promised it was being ordered, I was frustrated and told them I wanted a refund. They told me to come in and see the manager and get my refund. I made the one hour commute to the store only to be treated discourteously and disrespectfully by the manager,Mr. Baehr, who not only refused to listen to the situation after admitting he had never heard about it but challenged me to call the corporate office to complain. I have left three complaints with the corporate office and received not even a single response. Clearly the mens wearhouse guarantee is not something they stand by.
As for my suits, After investing a substantial amount of money in them and paying nearly 80 dollars for alterations, their ""master tailors"" lengthened my sleeves to the base of my thumbs and I could easily fit two pillows between my jacket and shirt. I struggled to find someone to tell I didn't like the fit and was told ""too bad or have it redone.""
Overall, I was not remotely satisfied with my experience with the Men's Wearhouse. After some research it seems my experience was not by any means unique. I cannot say how highly I recommend avoiding this store.
Pros: Entire experience was terrible
Cons: Suits poorly tailored, customer service attrocious
