AVOID THE QUINCY STORE 6/28/2011

Skip this place and keep on driving down the street to the Braintree store. The employees at this location are LAZY AND DO NOT WANT TO DO ANY WORK at all. There is no effort and professionalism in there. I was looking for tuxedos for my groomsmen and I for my wedding. I only stopped by this store because it was close to my home. The first time I went inside I found the theme color I wanted for my groomsmen's vests and ties. I asked the lady there if I could get a matching swatch so my fiance could get the matching color for the bridesmaid dresses. "We do not have swatches" and just a blank stare. I then asked if there's a tie or anything I could purchase because it's VERY IMPORTANT that the bridesmaid dresses matched the groomsmen's vests and ties. She said she understood it's important but they do not have anything that we could take with us. Fast forward 1 week later: I go to the Braintree store down the street and ask the same question and concerns. They said they were affiliated with David's Bridal and they will help us find the matching colored dresses for whatever styles they had at their store. You see that? Wasn't hard at all and I was so relieved because these employees actually gave a shiet and wanted to help. How could the same exact company down the street have more information than the other? Example 2: At the Quincy store and told the guy there that for myself, I would like a cutaway suit. I asked if I could try one on. He said they didn't have any I could try on. I said how about the one on the mannequin. He said, nope can't take that off for you to try on. And then tried to convince me to try a different tux on. Just like the other woman that works there - NO EFFORT to even try to help. Just wanted to be done with and shuffle me out the store. My buddies at that point said, "Let's go to the store in Braintree. That's the place where a couple of my friends got their tuxes for their weddings. This guy here seems like he just doesn't care." I had to agree and I left. I was SO GLAD I LEFT. The first thing I did when I got to the store in Braintree was ask for a cutaway tux to try on. They went out back, got me one to try on. I was actually able to try on the tuxedo that I was going to wear for my big day. And not be hustled to just try on anything. The difference at the Braintree store vs. the quincy one is like day and night. Folks, your wedding is a big deal. Take it seriously and dont go to the clowns in Quincy. They wont help you and just want to take your money. They're absolutely lazy. And the funny thing is, when I first called the Quincy store for a quote, the lady said $152 per tuxedo AFTER the $40 coupon. Went to the Braintree store and it was $152 THEN the additional $40 off. Ended up paying $122 per tux. Go figure. more
