Worst frozen yogurt I have ever had. Poor customer service. Major rip-off.
We stopped for frozen yogurt on a hot, Tennessee day (today, July 17th at about 5:20 p.m.). The female employee at Menchie's explained the process to us (cup, yogurt, toppings). That part was fine.
In my air-conditioned car, the yogurt melted before my boyfriend and I exited the parking lot and proceeded to the next traffic light. Soup on two sides of what remained of the pile of frozen yogurt.
His house is 1.3 miles from Menchies. We hit all of the lights green, and by the time we got inside his house, both of us were repulsed.
If we wanted to pay $10 for cold sweet soup, we would have gone to an expensive restaurant that serves some such weird culinary creation.
I called the Menchie's location at 5:30 p.m., only minutes after we left, and asked, ""What is the secret to keeping your frozen yogurt from melting before you leave the parking lot?""
The male employee who answered the phone said, ""Is this Shelly?"" or maybe it was ""Brandy"", but at any rate, not an appropriate response.
I explained calmly that my boyfriend and I were just there and the problem is as I have described it above.
He said, ""Well, did you get a lid?""
I said, ""What lid? No one offered us a lid."" (Now, I am 38 years old and am fairly versed in the acceptable melting rate of a frozen treat on a hot summer day.)
He replied, ""Well when it's this hot out, the yogurt is going to melt unless you put a lid on it.""
Nice product.
He further explained, ""You probably weren't given a lid because they didn't know you were taking it to go.""
Indeed, no one asked us.
In fact, I can't recall the female employee thanking us. WE thanked HER. She seemed utterly put-out and bored.
1. I won't go back.
2. I am going to post this on every consumer complaint website I can find.
3. Menchie's is a rip off.
4. If you are young enough and cool enough to work at Menchie's then you automatically have a secret invisible badge that says ""I can treat customers poorly; management says so.""
