I've played all the Houston area daily fee courses, and this is one of my favorites. It's long from the tips, but the landing areas are wide and fair on most holes. Very traditional layout, unlike some of the ""target golf"" courses around, and is a great walking course. You will also use every club in your bag. The marshalls will keep the play moving, which is a plus for me.
Home of the Houston Open in the 50's-60's, and was restored to original layout in 1994. It does get more play than any other public course in the area, but is still well kept. Parking is an issue so get there early.
Pros: Layout, Challenge, History
Cons: Parking, Range Mats, Parking
