Love The Melting P O T 2/12/2009

Just to inform anyone who does not know already...the Maitland location is no longer open. Check their website for your next closest location. My husband takes me here every year for my birthday...my choice. I love everything about this place.... The atmosphere, the food, and the whole fondue thing we love. We go every yr and every yr he has flowers waiting at the table for me along with whatever special gift he has gotten for me for my birthday. The food is wonderful. We love just sitting there cooking everything while we talk and enjoy the evening together. You have to go at least once. Have fun! Enjoy! more

I was forced to go here... 6/27/2006

So it was a friend's birthday that i had to go to this place, melted-cheese with diced fruits/meat nothing special, not to mention that our bills came out to be 400 bucks for a group of 6. Don't go here, you'll end up getting fatter than you have already been. more

Birthday pick 10/22/2004

This is definitely a wonderful experience. I have been many times. Usually a pick for family or friends birthdays. There are many choices for entrees, cooking style and desserts. This is great for groups as well as for a romantic dinner for two. Probably not a great choice for very small children. Pros: Delicious food, Cozy ambiance more

The best! 6/6/2004

A night at The Melting Pot seems to have the effect of bringing people together. It has the most romantic ambience of any restaurant I have ever dined at, while still hosting an atmosphere that is suitable for the whole family. The food is heavenly, beginning with rich cheeses and succulent meats. It ends with the world renowned chocolate fondue that you have to taste to believe. Be prepared for an amazing night! more

wow~! 5/27/2004

I went here with my boyfriend & i'd highly recomend it to anybody!! It really is romantic because you share you're food & it gives you a chance to agree on something if that may be a problem for you both!! it really has great food though, and is my personl favorite place!! Pros: FOOD!, atmosphere, variety of food more

FANTASTIC 1/21/2004

This is a can't miss!! If you can't get in the mood here, it's not gonna happen!! Plan on sitting back and relaxing because this isn't a place you want to rush through. And make sure you save room for dessert because the meal isn't complete without the chocolate fondue. You may even want to skip lunch that day so your pants will still fit afterwards. Pros: Great ambience, Fabulous service, Great lighting more

Great for a Romantic Evening 8/1/2003

A True Winner 7/31/2003

My fiance and I went to the Melting Pot for our first fondue experience. I called a week ahead to get reservations because I heard they fill up rather quickly. The staff was top-notch. Everyone was very helpful, polite, and informative. Our waitress explained everything in great detail from the various cooking styles to the fantastic sauces that accompany your meal. She gave us just enough space to enjoy our meal but was at our service with impeccable timing. The food absolutely melts in your mouth and the ambiance is remarkable. We had a great experience and will be back. Pros: Great Staff, Excellent Food, Romantic Atmosphere more

The absolute best 7/7/2003

My wife and I love this place. The food is great and it always tastes the same no matter when you go or which Melting Pot you visit. It is so nice to have a slow paced meal where you can sit and talk. Pros: Great Food, Relaxing, Takes Reservations Cons: Slightly Expensive more

Wonderful date 3/23/2003

The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is heavenly. It is defiantly a place to go with your special someone for a special event. But PLEASE do not bring kids. My boyfriend and I had the most romantic date we have had there. The lights were low; there was mood music, and high backed boots for privacy. But the best part of the meal was the dessert. It was the best thing I have ever eaten at a restaurant. The only bad part was the kids in the next booth crying. more

HOTTTTTT !!!!!!!! 10/3/2002

This place was amazing.... my boyfriend and I went to celebrate our first 6 months together. The waiters placed us in a booth in a back corner. The lighting, the atmosphere, the finger foods and drinks...it was so romantic. The food was delicious. The service was great. They always made sure everything was okay and they knew when we needed some time alone. Pros: Great Atmosphere, Great Food, Great Service Cons: Expensive more

Fun Food! 8/20/2002

Fun restaurant! Great for girls night out or dinner with someone special. But be prepared to be there for a while, sometimes dinner can take 2-3 hours. Try the garlic and wine seasoning and of course never skip desert! Pros: Great Food, Fun Atmosphere more

1st date=marriage 7/29/2002

My husband of 12 years took me to The Melting Pot on our very first date. It was sooooo wonderful. We were married 2 years later, and now enjoy every anniversary at the restaurant. Our 9 year old daughter BEGS to come with us every year (only to be denied), as we taught her at a very young age to crave it. The Melting Pot will always be one of our family's favorite places. Pros: Fun, Delicious Cons: Costly, Reservations/hard more
