Best

They have a very excellent doctor and a very nice staff. I could not have asked for better care for my pet.

Worst

Although it has been a few years since I made the mistake of bringing my puppy to Melrose La Brea Animal Hospital for emergency care, my experience was so terrible that my family ...

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY 9/2/2006

I'M SHOCKED TO SEE ALL THESE POSITIVE REVIEWS. I MUST ASSUME THESE PEOPLE ARE SOMEHOW RELATED TO THIS FACILITY. MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WAS A NIGHTMARE. THIS GUY WAS INCREDIBLY ROUGH TO MY PET AND UNJUSTIFIABLY EXPENSIVE. HE ALSO WAS TRYING TO PULL AN ADDITIONAL $500 OUT OF ME! UNLESS YOU'D LIKE TO PUT YOU PET DOWN, I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS VET! Pros: housecalls Cons: rough, expensive more

Way too expensive! 8/10/2006

This vet was outrageously expensive, and put our cat under anesthesia without our consent. He charged us almost $500 for tests and medicine for a upper respitory infection that cost us only $150 (for two cats!) when we went to the V.C.A. The office is old and unorganized, and my phone calls were unreturned when I called for the very expensive (and unnecessary) test results. Cons: too expensive, too many tests, the vet acted like a used car salesman more

great guy 7/30/2006

Although it can be a bit pricey- I'm getting the best care... And, for my puppy- i wouldn't settle for anything less. more

Although it can be a bit pricey- I'm getting the best care... And, for my puppy- i wouldn't settle for anything less. You can tell, even meeting him for the first time, that he loves animals... And will take great care of your pet... As he does mine. more

Too Expensive 11/7/2005

I wanted a second opinion on my puppy and went b/c of the great reviews. However, nobody seemed to mention how expensive it was! The doctor is great and gave me a lot of helpful tips so the consultation fee of $55 was not bad. However, he wanted us to hospitalize our dog and quoted us MINIMUM $900 for 2 days. We paid alot for our little puppy but paying $900 minimum with the possibility that costs could be more was just unimaginable. Pros: Great Doctor, Nice Nurse, Knowledgeble Doctor Cons: Old Building, Unorganized more

Trust your 4 legged friend with Dr. Jordan 9/21/2005

What I like about Dr. Jordan is his old school approach to veterinary care. Recently, my puppy had some spots on his skin. Another vet initially checked him out, did a skin scrape but found nothing. Sent us home...well, we wanted a second opinion. Dr. Jordan's knowledge was phenomenal. He immediately suggested what needs to be done. We took him up on his recommendations and we saw the results within a short time. And he's absolutely wonderful with us and our dog. Pros: reasonably priced, very friendly more

Very thorough 1/26/2005

Dr. Jordan really took the time to listen to all the symptoms and changes my sick cat was going through, not like some vets who seem to think they know your pet's problem before you can tell them anything. He was very nice, and really kept me informed about how my cat was doing throughout his hospitalization, and was easily accessible and helpful when I had questions. Pros: easy parking, accessible vet, friendly staff more
